This is called German Design and Engineering at its best. Battle ready, Battle proven, and a great fan following. Lucky to those guys who own it. It's a treasure. Preserve it. Nobody makes like this anymore. God bless!
The machine gun is an essential accessory when responding to car drivers who tail gate you, cut you off, or drive out in front of you . An equalising if reactive safety tool whike riding amongst alienated zombies in insulated hatchbacks. I had a WLA in the 1970s with the springer fork off a 1200. It had an ineffectual spring tensioner. The lazy 750 side valve was relaxing to ride. Thefuel consumption was 25 mpg using some primitive brass carby. An SU fitted and gave better performance.
Loads of parts from HP Hommes or ebay or metal detector finds.. Some bikes taken to england after the war, some brought in by people working in Germany in the 50s to 90s and some even for ww2 movies made in the 60s. There are a surprising amount of bikes and parts in the UK.
It is good that there are people who keep and care for these jewels of contemporary history.
