Solid Waste Authority Renewable Energy Facility #2

The Renewable Energy Facility #2 will be a mass burn waste-to-energy (WTE) facility when construction is completed. The animated architectural drawing is an overview of the new facility being built. The Solid Waste Authority's main function is to safely and responsibly process garbage. We do that by recycling items like paper, aluminum and glass. Items that are not, or cannot be recycled (like food waste) are incinerated and turned into electricity powering thousands of homes in Palm Beach County.
