We're looking at a 2011 LR4, 140k, it needs a good detailing, cuz the previous owner smoked in it and was a pig. But... everything works as it should. That being said, I have a serious question about the ltr. Is it normal for the steering wheel NOT to return to center when your turning out of a corner? This one doesn't allow you to just let the wheel slide through your hands and it straightened out from the corner. Is his normal?

Don't instantly think that its a major engine issue. With an LR3 or LR4 this could be a simple as a battery issue. They are VERY particular when it comes to battery voltage and connections. Get the battery checked first, and then leave it disconnected for 5min before reconnecting and trying again.
That can be the modular computer box, it is behind the battery compartment, in case get a diagnostic in Land Rover dealer first, the computer can cost with installation and parts $ 2700
I have a 2011 LR4 that the previous owner changed out the stereo to an aftermarket and removed the top screen. Very annoying. Anyone know how to get the factory setup to install again?
Ouch. Sorry to hear that. Here is what I know for sure. 1. Make sure that it originally had a screen. This being my third LR3/4 I know that even some of the higher models still had an option to not have it. 2. Confirm that the previous seller left the wiring intact back there. There are a series of super important optical cables that are not easy to replace. 3. Find a used screen on eBay. Not expensive, but the next part may be. 4. It has to be programmed now for your vehicle. Even if you get the exact same screen from the exact same model and year, it will recognize that the VIN is different. This will need to be programmed either with a GAP tool. Or take it to the dealership. That's about the extent of what I know. A good LR forum search should give you more details. Good luck!
Looking back, and using my experience of having multiple of both. I would choose the 4.4L. Overall a better engine, and more reliable. You’ll find tons of forums on this topic. My dream would be to have a LR4 with a 4.4l. Kind of impossible though. Unless you want to redo just about everything lol.
