Not really. Spending gold you already have to spend more gold you already have. If you purchased boxes in the past, it's likely you have lots of gold that is mostly useless. It is a chance to actually get something good for the money you already spent (like a premium tanks that is usually only available for $$$).

New WoT feature: You can pay so you get chance to pay even more, it's called payception. And as you talk about more gacha mechanics: I don't like it but I would be fine with it if they went with actual gacha game mechanics not their own terrible version of it. Basically every gacha game allows free players to get all content in the game (except for cosmetics), getting "characters" in gacha game as a free player takes longer than using your credit card but YOU CAN GET THEM FOR FREE and getting them for free is achievable for all players, all you have to do is grind more than paying player and pick things you want to get instead of focusing on everything. Imagine how much better for free player would WoT be if you could grind for all premium tanks or get gold to buy them for free. TLDR: WoT monetization is worse than any modern gacha game. If company released gacha game with monetization of WoT the game would be dead in matter of weeks.
Or they should just look at what World Of Warships does with containers. You can get free ships, bonuses, premium in regular containers or use real money to spend on premium containers that give you higher chance of getting stuff. they could make similar thing, like for example Model Kit. collect all parts of certain tank by playing the game and once you have all parts, you get the tank. At the same time, offer paid version for who ever wants to grind it faster.
To be fair, if this event lasted indefinitely, you would eventually see all offers with the one free ticket per day. But, yeah, WG's monetization policies are definitely questionable

the amx 13 57 is just being tossed in everywhere now by WG and the funny thing is a lot of players (me included) got it for free earlier this year when WG did that big vault (?) event on their website that was a complete disaster and didn't work for many but for those who it did work for it was quite lucrative.. so much so actually that I think WG messed up the % chances and in within 24h the whole thing was shut down due to 1. not working and 2. being too generous of an event had it worked lol.
psychologically its not hard to detect, why companies are targeting costumers emotions. they are creating arificial needs in every branch since centuries. the bad thing about it is always when u reach people who are sensitive to this kind of pressure. those people must be protected by law from being exploited. in the grey zones its our duty to inform and give advice instead of also taking advantage of this in general. even though thats done in parts, u see the instrumentalisation of the weak and poor all over the world. this here is just a small case of this mechanic. fill a real or artificial need - make it scammy to max profit - look how people react - adapt in case u need to - do it again and again... but even if we would do all possible to protect em, we would only get rid of the worst konsequences. opportunism is human nature.

Remembrance Day is as big here as it is in Europe and North America, and we've had access to the relevant events here in the past. Instead, we get the gimmicky "Single's Day" nonsense. the amx 13 57 is just being tossed in everywhere now by WG and the funny thing is a lot of players (me included) got it for free earlier this year when WG did that big vault (?) event on their website that was a complete disaster and didn't work for many but for those who it did work for it was quite lucrative.. so much so actually that I think WG messed up the % chances and in within 24h the whole thing was shut down due to 1. not working and 2. being too generous of an event had it worked lol.
psychologically its not hard to detect, why companies are targeting costumers emotions. they are creating arificial needs in every branch since centuries. the bad thing about it is always when u reach people who are sensitive to this kind of pressure. those people must be protected by law from being exploited. in the grey zones its our duty to inform and give advice instead of also taking advantage of this in general. even though thats done in parts, u see the instrumentalisation of the weak and poor all over the world. this here is just a small case of this mechanic. fill a real or artificial need - make it scammy to max profit - look how people react - adapt in case u need to - do it again and again... but even if we would do all possible to protect em, we would only get rid of the worst konsequences. opportunism is human nature.

To me though, the real crime is that we aren't able to get your Remembrance Day missions here... Remembrance Day is as big here as it is in Europe and North America, and we've had access to the relevant events here in the past. Instead, we get the gimmicky "Single's Day" nonsense.

The only situation where this is a good deal is if a rarer tank was offered and you didnt financially care and bought it anyways cause you didnt have it.
