Glad to see qb actually have fun. A lot of the time when new content comes to the game he finds it “very boring” glad to see him enjoy something like clan wars
RE: 907 in maneuvers you get shot a lot in the side, and often in those all-in engagements the 907 still outcompetes most other mediums, all it takes is once bounce off the hull of a 907 and you lose the 1v1. Think of it like getting an extra 490hp when you bounce an is7 or 277 shell. In randoms, where battles are often fought over ridges and other terrain and are often frontal, or at larger distances the 140 is the better tank, hands down. An extra 2 degrees of gun depression, 33% better dispersion values and a stronger turret matter a lot more in randoms than the 907 hull armour advantage.
I wonder if WG will ever add vehicles with rockets that get most of their damage with rams. Like imagine a KV-5, E75 TS, or Mauerbrcher at tier IX but with a dozen rocket charges (brief but powerful). It'd be like the "Charger" from Project Babylon Last Stand.
Gz to the whole team for reaching the tank positions. I would say that 907 will help in the future events more than the vkk, but vkk is definetly better for randoms in their current state where the armor and alpha is king, so up to you, i dont think there is a wrong choice between those two. Im personally going with st62 since its the only one im missing. Also happy to hear you've enjoyed the clan event, they have been definetly the main reason why ive personally stuck to playing the game for the past 5-6 years. And good luck in the future events!
here recently started playing again after like 3 years. Friend invited me for game, joined clan and now on some evenings we are some blokes having fun. For me, that is the game. Sometimes we win, sometimes we lose but always, we are laughing and having fun. Great to hear that u have fun in this :)
Same. I think some small gradual changes to the game, a new approach to my matches, and not letting the game get to me has really helped me enjoy wot a lot more this year.
Not only is QB still playing, he is using the same headphones and the same chair for the last 12 years. That is frugalism and consistency master class.
My clan did our first foray into manuvers this time and we had a lot of fun. A few members had limited tanks, but we made the best of what we could do, at one point we made it to rank 700 and our personal ranks were around 15k not ideal but considering our win rates go from 47% upto 60% and some players haven’t played much, we did well and I was very happy to lead them to where we got to :)
You should pick 907 definitely. It would be good use for you for the next Clan Wars event. Clans love to use 907 more because its great speed, and its armor can still cause surprises for the enemy. And it has a great DPM as well.
My team ended on 75% wins, but my clan only had one team, so we got nowhere in the rankings, seems like a really odd system, I won't be bothering with it again unless that changes.
Ehh it helps clans that are more active. Problem is game is in its dying era so amount of active players able to do this is too low. I mean WOW had casually 5 to 10 amount of players in same clan doing raids so 70+ people having teams of 7 isnt that crazy
Glad to hear you enjoyed it QB. I played my first manoeuvres the last time it was available and really enjoyed it! I personally picked the VKK and it's a great vehicle but a really difficult one to do well in. Gold spam is obviously rampant already and as you very well know, but if you play the VKK you will face 99.9% gold rounds as oppose to maybe the usual 75%. Also the only difference now between the VKK and the PZ7 is about 20mm more armour on the fighting compartment weak point. (It did have a thinner lower plate back in the day though.)
I love being in a clan, on NA server we struggle to get enough players to be able to constantly do skirmishes, but when we do its some of the best fun there is in world of tanks, even when not doing skirmishes, just platooning with clanmates and chatting as you play the game really does make it more fun, and I think some people are afraid of joining clans but all they have to realize is that not every clan is crazy competitive and so I would highly recommend anyone who's never been part of a clan before, consoder joining one, it can really enhance the world of tanks experience
The problem I always had with clans is that most clans for clan wars required you to always turn up to skirmishes every once in a while. Even if someone like me hated it because you spend way more time waiting than any gameplay.
I had a LOT of fun doing Maneuvers too! Our clan fought HARD for the 3rd spot on the leaderboard. We got to level 49 at one point! It's really fun to not just play the same meta over and over
I was in a clan when Maneuvers started and the players didn't want to participate so I decided to try and find a clan that would accept me even though I don't have great stats. After a few applications and rejections I was accepted into a clan and they let me jump straight in and got to spend one weekend playing. It was so much fun and i cant wait for the next event so I can try earn a tank. Will definitely need to buid my resources up though because it was quite a hit to the credits to keep going. I was just the average player for the longest time but in the last 6 months or so, I have become so much more competitive and I want to get better. I have made it a goal to unlock the 260 by the next Maneuvers event
7 versus 7 is a standard feature in Blitz. It was so much fun to play until the autoloaders came on the scene. Even then to this day, it is still fun to play depending of course on the team you have.
One thing that I noticed youtubers don't show quite often is the fact that you need to fit in as many games in 2 hours as possible. Our FCs in clan wanted to do at least 25 a day per team, ideally more. Even if you are losing, when you get 2 kills it's okay. In our clan, we had 2 teams running and one (mine) had a higher winrate, yet we were lower in player rankings because the other team got more games (we have 12 tank positions amongst those 2 teams, you had to miss 2 days to miss a tank spot). Just a tip for the future.
@@kultome you could always have excluded tanks (aka tanks that are not readily available to buy just to not say the obvious). Or better even, only tech tree tanks (+ maybe those that are avialable as collectors' vehicles or for bonds).

They know that people would complain when they cant use their defenders in CW, thats why t8 cw was abolished In the case of t6 cw, t-34-85ms are easily available now and is not as OP as it was before, thats why i think t6 cw can come back
When I was an active WOT player on the NA server the clan I was in did T6 Clan Wars and it was awesome. I would definitely play that again if it were available.
The thing that sucks is those of us who want to take part in the event but aren't good enough,don't have a clan that will take them - I am not grreat at WoT but would love this form of gameplay but every clan that does it wants good players so I am just stuck in random battles :(
Gaming with friends builds Camaraderie when your all working together to get to a group goal. You have those jelling/bonding moments that brighten up situation and can give a stronger sense of hope. In MMOs I got this quite allot and was what made me enjoy them so much and I think clan wars can do the same out side of the shouting and screaming because some one mucked up it can also build a strong sense of camaraderie wish is a lovly feeling when hanging out with other gamers ^^. Just my point on that.

Qb pick the Vk72 it will suit your playstyle liking the E-100 and PzkpfVII and beacuse it has the most uniqe playstyle doing wierd armor angling to richotchet and absolutely blasting enemys and penetrating for example the 705A turret easily
Managed to get the K91, my second ever tier 10, for maneuvers. I had some good, some bad games. Generally felt better than randoms since my deaths were always either my own mistakes or enemy team overwhelming me as opposed to overpowered premiums and +2 matchmaking. The big downside is there's no way in hell I'm gonna be able to get any of the clan wars tanks because the clan is too small and I don't enjoy this game enough to put in the personal hours required, so the games I did play were pretty much for nothing.
I only participated in clan wars/strongholds a few times back in the day. I was in high school when my clan did most of those battles, and later in college. Sadly, I just didn't have the time for most of them back in those times. Unfortunately, my clan kinda died out around 2018/2019. Only reason I still keep on is because I have two really good friends that log in most days and we platoon together, especially around the holidays. If they both decide to give up on the game someday, if the servers are still popular enough to function, then I might join another clan. I would love to get back in the CW scene. Avg winrate is 51% though, so I'm not that good. :(
I played in GROOT on the NA server and I only played for like 9 days out of 14. I still managed to get in the top 2100 so it was very nice to be able to have a larger clan to allow me to get a tank.
NA is so trash now too, i played for 7 days and ended in the top 1,000 after the kicking of mvp / froggy members i probably wont be touching this sweat fest ever again
Small clan NA server. We only fielded 2 teams on all but 2 days where we had 1 team. Even so we were able to get several players free tanks out of the 2k available to NA server. Having only 2 teams made for a very stressful 14 days. However, I did enjoy working together as a team rather than as a platoon or solo.
My clan had 4 teams for almost every day. I think we got to stage 35-ish before we had to reset. At the high stages, a loss (with 2 kills) was as much fame points as a win in the lower stages. I ranked in (NA) and im going to get the ST62 V2 as my free tank.
Had the same thought process last Maneuvers and choose Carro 45t as it was the newest one... That was my second time playing "clan wars" well now everyone got it for free..... I haven't played this season and not planning to play two hours per day for two weeks ever again, to get f.ed again.
I wonder if it would be fun if they introduced a pick syatem like it picks x amount of maps ypu can pick from and then ban phase where you can ban tanks and then pick your tank and play.
for some reason you didnt mention about the matchmaking, which puts clans on top to play mostly against eachothers. therefore your clan with 1 team plays mostly against bot teams. your 70% winrate would be close to 0%-30% if you would meet any clan from lets say top40 (at least 1st week). however, bottom line is you had fun=thats most important. just wanted to clarify few things what you didnt mention.
Yea, when we reset our progress, we were metting top-100 clans with 70-80% winrate, but when we got to 45-50 lvl progression it was just P_A, REZAK, ZWACK against us, so wr dropped to 30-40% 😩
And now I am waiting for QB making 6 videos in 6 days 1 by 1 by 1 in which he shows us his opinion and rates from the worst to the best tanks to choose in Maneuvers, so we could bet which one he will take. It could be tense and really engaging for almost a week! 🤩
I no longer actively play wot, and I was never good enough to be in competitive clans or anything. But I still had a lot of fun in old clan wars and skirms compared to just randoms. I think there is so much untapped potential in those types of gamemodes. If wargaming wasn't so busy making gambling content the game could probably have evolved in that direction much further. Especially considering a fair population of the game is fairly old, may not have the reaction time to be at the top of a traditional ranked later. They probably do have the skills required to manage or do some almost RTS or TBS style gameplay where good ideas and leadership make the difference with youngsters like me in the battles putting reactions to good use ha.
I am a big clan wars person, but I have taken a break the last couple years because I have all the clan wars reward tanks. I ran a team for this one and have to agree it was the most fun I've had in awhile. My team ended up finishing all in the top 200 positions and we have a overall win rate of 82 percent after 2 weeks. I do think it is better than the 15v15 campaigns were by a long shot.
I agree with all your points on onslaught BUT I think the biggest reason is team cohesion doesn't exist in any modes BUT clan wars. Everyone in clan wars has mics and we all talk and it's fun but in other modes WG tries to implement it's still just people playing for themselves and no team work.
Now i will try my luck in nvest thx qb never thought i would play manouvers but if i get to join your clan i hope i will get to enjoy it as much as you.😊
I think I would like to see the T95E6, and a masterclass video on that. I am curious on how well you may do as I have heard of people struggling to mark the tank even though it is considered a non-competitive tank
People dont struggle with marking it because they cant play it well, they struggle because the tank is very unpopular and inaccessible meaning not many play it, and out of those who do play it, they are mostly good players making the mark requirement be up to 6k combined which is really difficult to achieve consistently

Are there any tanks blocked from playing this mode like the 279E and so on or is it open to all tanks ? Take the 907 first then 75.01k second best two choices.
Havn't played it, my clan is small, but reading comments here it seems to have the best chance to rank well and get the rewards you really have to learn to game the system. Which in my opinion means it is not a good system.

You would have most likely around 50% if not less if your clan was in a higher position.
My clan only had one team with about 60% wins and we all made top 9k on the rankings. Don't know what u were doing but it clearly wasn't correct
We also play with one team, i am top 4000.
But for clans this rankings is stupid.
Moral of the story isn't that maneuvers sucked, but that your clan should have combined with another

Leaders are the biggest issue in small clans. Took part with inexperienced leader and realized fast, that there is no chance to get a tank.

Vk is insanely fun, if you prefer more mobile stuff go for 907 or the new st62

artillery still ruins the game more than auto loaders

I have the 907 and I love it's brawling play style.

i would pick the ST-62 Ver. 2 because of that stealthy ability and the fact you can get almost 50% to stationary concealment
907 have better camo btw

VKK is the most fun clan wars tank by far, even surpassing the pre-nerf Chieftain (which wasn't really that fun, just OP). At least IMO.
GG. I had a really good time with a good team too, cw was fun. The 14 days period is maybe too much, i think 8-10 days would be enough.
Maybe in future in an event like this try to get a good replay by another player in your team.

for some reason you didnt mention about the matchmaking, which puts clans on top to play mostly against eachothers. therefore your clan with 1 team plays mostly against bot teams. your 70% winrate would be close to 0%-30% if you would meet any clan from lets say top40 (at least 1st week). however, bottom line is you had fun=thats most important. just wanted to clarify few things what you didnt mention.
Yea, when we reset our progress, we were metting top-100 clans with 70-80% winrate, but when we got to 45-50 lvl progression it was just P_A, REZAK, ZWACK against us, so wr dropped to 30-40% 😩

As your first Tier 10 Tank ever was the E100, you should really get the VK as its just a better E100 with the big gun!!!

I no longer actively play wot, and I was never good enough to be in competitive clans or anything. But I still had a lot of fun in old clan wars and skirms compared to just randoms. I think there is so much untapped potential in those types of gamemodes. If wargaming wasn't so busy making gambling content the game could probably have evolved in that direction much further.
Especially considering a fair population of the game is fairly old, may not have the reaction time to be at the top of a traditional ranked later. They probably do have the skills required to manage or do some almost RTS or TBS style gameplay where good ideas and leadership make the difference with youngsters like me in the battles putting reactions to good use ha.

I am a big clan wars person, but I have taken a break the last couple years because I have all the clan wars reward tanks. I ran a team for this one and have to agree it was the most fun I've had in awhile. My team ended up finishing all in the top 200 positions and we have a overall win rate of 82 percent after 2 weeks. I do think it is better than the 15v15 campaigns were by a long shot.

I agree with all your points on onslaught BUT I think the biggest reason is team cohesion doesn't exist in any modes BUT clan wars. Everyone in clan wars has mics and we all talk and it's fun but in other modes WG tries to implement it's still just people playing for themselves and no team work.

I like 7v7 more than 15v15 also. I think strategy matter more against unequal clans also.
get VK 72 01K. You may have fun on it since you like panzer 7 much but you get 750 alpha and 350 HEAT rounds if you need penetration

I think I would like to see the T95E6, and a masterclass video on that. I am curious on how well you may do as I have heard of people struggling to mark the tank even though it is considered a non-competitive tank
People dont struggle with marking it because they cant play it well, they struggle because the tank is very unpopular and inaccessible meaning not many play it, and out of those who do play it, they are mostly good players making the mark requirement be up to 6k combined which is really difficult to achieve consistently

Are there any tanks blocked from playing this mode like the 279E and so on or is it open to all tanks ? Take the 907 first then 75.01k second best two choices.

Havn't played it, my clan is small, but reading comments here it seems to have the best chance to rank well and get the rewards you really have to learn to game the system. Which in my opinion means it is not a good system.
