OU's been banged up this season. An already new inexperienced offensive line is short several players, but should be a bit stronger with the return of a couple of those injured players. Three of their top receivers have been out but Nic Anderson should be ready for this game and he will provide a legit deep threat. His return alone should at the least slow TN from stacking the line on D which could open up the running game for OU at least marginally. OU's defense is pretty good against the run and their d-backs provide tight cover, plus they +10 or so already on turnovers. They arguably have a couple of the best linebackers in the conference. and overall they do have a lot of talent both on offense and defense. Just from what I've seen, I do not believe Venables has opened up the play book yet and has remained rather pedestrian and I would suspect the cover comes off for this game both on offense and defense. TN on the other hand has looked strong and crisp although against rather weak opponents but they will be facing a much better and determined team in OU. OU at home is always tough. TN does have the depth, the talent, and historical reference to pull away in this game. Tough game to call but as much as it troubles me as an OU fan, TN will most likely prevail in this one. Don't think it will be a blow out, but more like something in the range of 34 -16. with TN pulling away late.
Vols win this similarly to the NC State game. Oklahoma is a better team than NC State, but i think its gonna snowball for Oklahoma quickly. Arnold is gonna be under pressure and i think our secondary is much better than theyre getting credit for. Our offense will sustain some drives and get ahead and i dont think Arnold will respond will as a young qb against our defense.
I’m as die-hard as they come but we are not drubbing OK by 41. Idc how much better we have looked so far. You better be ready for OK to come ready to play. I’ll be tickled if we win, period. I believe we are better and we will win, but this ain’t NC St.
@GrannySingaporePVP similarly does not mean the exact same. It will be a complete domination. The final differential will matter little. The reason it will happen is because Oklahoma will struggle to sustain drives especially early in the game and our offense will cash in more than a few of those drives for scores. Once it's a multiple possession lead and we can really lean on our defensive line rotation to pressure Jackson Arnold, it will snowball. You can disagree, but come Saturday it will be known. Tennessee will leave no doubt Saturday night.
I expect to win this game. I think we win by at least 2 tds but I wouldn't be surprised if it was anywhere from a 7-24 points. Oklahoma isn't a bad team, they're just not on our level and the individual matchups favor the Vols.
To me, this looks like the most success OU will having is FG in the red zone. Not sold their D is that good. 44th rushing last year 112th in passing. They have played so far this season 3 teams with the 131st, 118th and the 54th ranked scoring offenses. Allowed 24 ten yard plus plays defensively. No proof this D is any better than last years yet at this time.
Will we be able to run up the middle when they cannot load the box and have to respect the wide splits? I think so. Maybe not 200 yds but I think our tempo will cause them problems as the game goes on.
It will take a team effort for Oklahoma to make this game competitive, this is not a game where they can rely on their QB and Linebacker to carry the team.
Agree! TN is the better team and I don’t think this game is going to be particularly close. 49-17 vols
41-10 VOLS
Cam seldon ran a 10.74 100 meters an P lew ran 10.50 that’s wild 👀
38-20 Vols
Bull by 50... GBO
I think the Sooners will game plan to stop the VOLS running game and make Nico beat them. GOOD LUCK!
Always Bull, thanks again for a great analysis. I agree totally. We have all the ingredients we have not had since 1998.
Go Vols!!!

We have the phenom Hawkins as backup QB or veteran QB Casey Thompson. Both dual threats
NC State is nowhere close to Oklahoma 😂😂😂😂.
@@Pierre-wm3xs yeah why I said "Oklahoma is a better team than NC State..."

Man I wish it was gameday. I am eager for this match up. If we win this game we will be a top 5 team.

OU fan here. I really believe, whoever wins. It will come down to both defensive units.
Both secondaries should be tested, in this game.
Mmyyy man! Positive all day everyday!

Add Florida and Texas into those terrible fans...at least when Florida is good. 😂😂
