I'm waiting, the 4090 is way too expensive now, I will either buy the 5090 at msrp or a used 4090 for $1000 or less. I predict the prices of used 4090s to plummet as sellers will be desperate to make money to put towards the 5090.
@@ITSRICHARDLAU I see, I was just confused because after talking about how you would rather recommend to get the 4080 super instead (because its much cheaper and the differences between those 2 cards isnt big) he still decided to go for the 4090, thats why I thought you had made a mistake when you said that sentence, cause I wasnt expecting that xD
Waiting to buy at this point is a no-brainer unless your business reeaaallly needs a super fast editing card with 24gb vram right now. "But there's always a new model coming. Just buy & enjoy it now." That is bad advice for $1,800 item dropping to $1,000 in just 2 or 3months, or a much better version for a similar price. Also, that much $ for a questionable connector? No thanks.
totally agree, i personally opted for the rtx4090 during this time period to speed up my editing workflow for clients so i couldn’t afford waiting since i’ve been editing on a little macbook thermal throttle nonstop. otherwise as a an ordinary consumer or gamer its best to wait or opt for an alternative model
I just bought the rx 7900 xtx for 900 and i want it to last for at least 5 years in 4k native high (idc abt ray tracing & i dont like fsr or dlss bcuz input lag and blur). Do i return it and wait for 5090 or something better with 24-32gb vram? I gotta save up cuz Id be paying triple at that point.
@@Chicken-o5e well if you don’t have an issue currently with your build i don’t see a reason to change it. the 7900 is a pretty beefy performer and should have problem handling newer titles at 4k and high graphics. the 5090s etc is if you really want the max performance like 4k maxed out and offers some headroom for longevity. as for now its hard to say if you should opt for a higher end card now since the prices are quite inflated - but it all depends on what your willing to spend. also if the 50 series drops its most likely going to be sold out instantly and resellers will jack up the price for quite sometime, which by then the 30/40 series will offer better prices so the used market could be an option if you want to be cost efficient
@@ITSRICHARDLAU looking at the leaked specs of the 5090 having 32gb vram, 600 watts and really high bandwidth, it looks like there is a generational leap even from the 4090 so im worried that my 7900 xtx wont hold up for 5 years especially with upcoming newer games native 4k high 60+fps unless they optimize it. im willing to pay max 1200 for a gpu so i guess thats a dream for me until 4090 drops to 1200😅
@@Chicken-o5e4k cards age really quickly, the 30 series high end are basically entry level 4k cards now, and may become irrelevant with the 50 series, this always happens with 4k because it's insanely demanding to run. I doubt your 7900xtx will be a max 4k card for more than 3-4 years without new upscaling features from AMD. You could wait for 5090, or even 6090/rDNA5, but the card won't be a 4k beast on future games unless you find well optimized titles you enjoy.
Wow , just 1k1 sub and you already have a really professional video.
At this price, no chance in the world. 7900xtx is half the price.
Love my 4090 and Top end PC.
the Founders Cards are so Beautiful im sad that they are sold out for me

When you said you made a PC for your friend, did you mean to say he opted for a 4080 super?
nah he went for a 4090
