The Spiritual Power of Acceptance

Swami Satchidananda answers questions during an Integral Yoga retreat in the late 1970s. He is asked a question about acceptance. In reply he recites a Tamil proverb: “Kita Dayin Vetana Mara,” which means “If you cannot get, immediately forget.” He explains the difference between doing what you can vs. letting go. He is also asked about one’s capacity to uphold a spiritual marriage amid marital challenges and how acceptance plays an important role.
