Sure looks that way. In war thunder you only get 2/3rds of the way to your first target before you get cut in half by 109's. If you're really lucky one of your gunners might score an ineffective 'HIT' on the way down. It's gotten to a point where even b-17's are dive bombers now because it's the only way to 'maybe' get close.
@@qualitycontentchannel4443 There is no 'high enough' when you're facing 109's that seem to spawn at twenty thousand feet. The climbing game just makes you an isolated target that might get to an objective just as the round ends, but more likely gets you murdered by a fighter with two to three times your climb rate. If your opponent is U.S. then sure, you just need to moderately climb and no one can touch you.
@@Anubis78250 practice with defense AA in test drive. Clearly that is the issue. You should always be able to take on a 109 when ur using a heavy bomber like B17
@@Anubis78250 B-17 is meant for high altitudes, this goes for a lot of heavy bombers. Get some friends to play with you as bombers aswell and go at a high altitude and stick into a close formation, that’s how you’ll survive.
Only reason you think WoW has a better bombing experience is because war thunder actually requires skill and I have seen people be a beast with a bomber because guess what THEY HAVE SKILL AND DONT PLAY AGAINST BOTS

I would know because I've played War Thunder for so long, I'm half a level from being level 100 and even though I don't play WoW its bomber gameplay is 10x better than that of War Thunders.
