If I get Advance Plan in Asana and add guest users who are consultants/contractors working on my project then can I use capacity planning to see the allocation of these guests. They will be assigned tasks in my project. I am still evaluating the product so wanted to know whats feasible. Please advise.

      Hey, thanks for watching!
Yes, with the Asana Advanced Plan, you can add guests to your projects and utilize the capacity planning feature to monitor their task allocations.

We make fake Asana users called "Liz Planning" for example as placeholders so we can "soft hold" our resources. Our agency basically created a version of this capacity planning using existing Asana functionality that works really well for us, but I'm interested to see where this might go. The development of roles, in general, will be a big win - to be able to see total hours needed for copywriters over a given time period will be great - we can do it now but it's manually created portfolio we made to see it. Anyway - excited to see how they improve this. I don't think it's superior to what we've already built in the platform. Also...it's enterprise only, right?

Absolutely love how you've hacked Asana with those placeholder users! I’ve also got a workaround for forecasting capacity that I’ll share in next week’s video. And yes, capacity plans is an enterprise-level feature.

@@MarquisMurray What to go to Enterprise - what does the monthly seat cost look like for 10 - 15 seats?

Hi @LizSilzle thanks for the comment. Would you mind sharing some more insights in how you do create those fake Asana users? I am trying to do the same for long term capacity planning (i.e. before presenting to our management 10 new project proposal for next year). Before submitting the project for approval, I am supposed to perform an high-level check if those are even possible with the resources we have available. Thank you in advance
@MarquisMurray this might to be a workaround for the question I posted in your other video. it seems that Liz found a way to create fake users, do you have any video or content where you show this option / capability? Thanks a ton.
