Best thing that ever happened bringing the Trams back to Nottingham & Manchester
I personally really like the trams here, totally not because I'm from Nottingham, but you can't deny the value for money with this network
I’m currently travelling the UK exploring the tramway cities. Nottingham will be my next stop :)
A very impressive network. I enjoyed riding it. Seems to be great scope for extending the network in future.
I travelled the whole network
Trams are a lot louder than they seem to be. Perhaps some shock absorbing material under the rails would help? I don’t know
Very good, I would like to see videos of Drivers Eye View.Trams are Cleaner, use Electricity, more Environmentally Friendly,& reduce Congestion.
You said you went to Nottingham University on day 1, but that was Nottingham Trent. Shane you didn't go out to Toton Lane.
Great stuff
Station Street is actually not the only abandoned stop on the network as there was a stop that was somewhat built and never opened which is between Basford and Wilkinson Street
Didn't know that! I'll keep an eye out for it if I'm ever back in Nottingham
@@DavidFrankal it's not far south of Western Boulevard I'll try and get the location
Wow
Ahhh, those halcyon covid free days, so long ago.
Nifty interleaved rails at 13:39, again starting at 22:20. From 21:15 until 22:06 the tracks somewhat awkwardly go pigeon-toed, creating two diamonds for tracks of the same line! What was the rationale for that way of separating the tracks between streets?
Haven't a clue!
My only guess was one-way streets or perhaps peculiar locations of platforms. I couldn't see enough of the layout in the video to see why. Planners are generally loath to have such cross-overs so it must have been a good reason. I see that there are other NET videos so I might watch for more clues.
@@lorenbillings721 The reason why it does that is because there is a middle platform that is connected to both tracks which allows trams to terminate also I live in Nottingham so that’s how I know
Well i guess why they call it the Nottingham Express Tramway
Its Transit not tramway
Am from here but I don,t use the trams
Why? Do you not like them?
Too tight.
