Very neat and the fact it's still intact without rust is amazing. We had a 1959 Ford Fairlane with 3 on the column straight 6 it rusted away totally and froze our Butts in the winter because of holes in the floor. Minnesota car the snow and road salt would accumulate up around the head lights. This example is great. You won't have any trouble selling this. Rare years for Ford just because of the rust issues.
I'm 65, my aunt/uncle had a beautiful 59 Galaxie, same color, red/wt/blk interior, rode in it many times as a kiddie, loved when Auntie punched it up Laurel St, a steep hill here in San Diego, cuz that thing flew! 😊 Anyway, I seen many many of those as a kiddie and all my life. However, in all my 65 years I never saw one with those gawdy ext bumper/tire deals in the rear! (?) And, not to sound hoity-toity, I grew up on Pt Loma sround money folk who all had nice cars full of options and I never saw those around on any car. I actually didn't start seeing them until the Internet created classics out of everything. My dad had one of the most beautiful! black 58 Impala SS convertibles ever. Seen several more growing up. But never have I seen an ext bumper tire deal on the rear of any of them until the Internet. Personally I think they look hideous. I mean, why? There's plenty of room in the trunk for the spare.

WOW. ! ! . . what a beauty ! . . . (wishing I looked that good ; going on 66 now & had a couple of my parts replaced LOL ) . . . . the 50's/60's autos were an American artform -period ! . . never before, definitely never after, has there ever been such a marriage of design&technology. Pure Beauty!
@silverbird58 .. yes right.. I have seen a similar make in Danny's show on History channel 'Counting Cars'.. I even Loved the color of this one Milky white

Gawd I love these cars!! Im so poor that I have to ride a bicycle to work lol but oh well!! Maybe someday ill own a fancy ride.. Love older cars, nothing today on the roads better looking than this beauty, well besides my Huffy haha
This is a very beautiful car,I really preferred a two door car with door posts(less rattles).Whomever did the resto to this car did a super job.How many hours????I did not really want to know. How much was the radio, a.m., no doubtThings back then, sometimes we’re options. My dad had one option(heater)installed, the cost was $7.00. And we lived in N.Carolina. My iPad sometimes posts twice?
I say and have said for years, 1950s Fords were the best cars ever built. Imagine going down an old paving stone road in a Fairlane, how smooth it must have been.
Had a '57 White Fairlane just like this one right down to the spare tire kit. Smashed it up in a snowstorm in New York State - never the same after that.
When I was a kid some friends down the street had an uncle that would visit in about a 56 Ford with a continental kit. We thought it was the weirdest thing
i Had a 59' Ford Country Squire station wagon, White with the wood grain on the sides, my uncle gave it to me in 1970, it had 44,000 miles on it, my uncle asked why do you want it Dan its almost 11 yrs old, LOL God rest his soul. it road like a dream, it had a 312 ci V8 in it, i remember the hood opened from the windshield up & back to the front, the radio had a wonder bar that found stations for you... Awesome Car, i also REALLY Loved the 59' Thunderbird, i really would love to find one of those, Best Thunderbird Ever Made, people say the 55'... i say NO THE 59'
It`s all pretty cool til you get to the rear...WTF. I have seen this spare wheel set up before but this is a crazy rear end design. Usually built and stored within the boot design, but this design is built into the rear bumper, adding a foot in lenght to this 2 door coupe. At least it can sit 2 adults in comfort in back. Lovely old thing.
Has it fitted self driving technology? I hate nostalgia, I can not drive by resting my one arm on the open window and on the other hand with my mobile phone texting !
What a beautiful car made by FORD company of USA 21 GUN salute to American's FORD company who decorate the Americans streets with paradise look car I can see it its my pleasure. Thanks Congratulations who can own this & drive this ultra luxurious car Thanks who up load this Definitely Americans are also buetiful as their farelane having golden hand's no doubt
I was fifteen. Sister was 16. Boyfriend pulls up. Brand new, nineteen fifty-nine, Ford Fairlane Galaxy 500. Fire-engine red, convertible. White leather. Continental-kit. Looked to be about eighty feet long.
Lindo! Maravilhoso! Um dos mais Belos Automóveis já Produzidos! E com o Kit Cadilac então, o desejo de possui-lo é Maior ainda! Parabéns por essa Jóia! Gostaria de tê-lo para Mim! (Jorge Mota = São Paulo)
You've got to be kidding me, these calves on wheels that consume three gas stations every ten miles and turn into a can in case of an accident at 50 km/h with a wall.
They wove tin foil into the seat fabric back then. Wow drive it 2-3-4 whole miles! Amazing ! No big deal it’s not a Buick or CAD or Okds…. It’s just an old Ford till it rusts down to nothing
Lo que fue y no volverá a ser sencillamente hermoso como hecho a mano, ojalá poder ver su interior de esto tan bonito no vuelve, también quisiera ver el Lincoln Continental de los 70

Its not a car, its a work of art.
I agree. I believe most from the 20's thru the 70's were works of art. But especially the 1950's. Unbelievable style!
What a luxurious looking Car.. with that rich white color
@silverbird58 .. yes right.. I have seen a similar make in Danny's show on History channel 'Counting Cars'.. I even Loved the color of this one Milky white

Ford was great back in the 50s, but I think Cadillac really took cars to the next level in the 1950s.
Had a '57 White Fairlane just like this one right down to the spare tire kit. Smashed it up in a snowstorm in New York State - never the same after that.

The really weird part was the way the bumper stuck out about 4 feet.
Kinda like having one of those cargo carriers that hook into trailer hitch tube
This is a masterpiece and a great piece of art that today's engineers can't match. Just an awesome antique car.
Fantastic car.

Hello
Ford never promoted the 59 Galaxie as a Fairlane 500 Galaxie, just GALAXIE, as the "regular" Fairlane 500 had a different roofline.
💗nice car
Beautiful design
Americans wooow what a brilliant people salute
