    Awesome video man, not sure if you are open to it but would love to see videos showing how much you guys made each day, I'm always interested in how a vendor of your size does at these card shows.
    Also some feedback for the video, if you have time, it would be cool to show the cards people are buying on screens when you do a transaction!

    • @IntropyDR

      In all honesty, unlike the majority of vendors that setup at shows, our main focus is for buying, not selling. Selling is just a byproduct of us being at a show. In general, we will end up with less money than we came with, or not money at all since all we do is buy.
      We have a $1 binder, a $2+ binder, and a mid end binder ($6-$25 cards). Our cases have some mid and sometimes higher ended cards, but they are primarily there in the event that people who are trading in a large quantity can trade up into something nicer. With lower ended cards and our generously steep discounts, sometimes we're happy just to cover the cost of the table(s) in our sales.
      The focus of setting up at shows isn't to make money, but merely as a source of inventory for our ebay store. Listing and selling cards online is where we put in the work to make the small margins.

    Love this! I’ve been slowly but surely growing my Pokémon collection again, its what started me into cards when I was a kid, now I run an eBay store that’s focused on anything to do with cards of the sort, its called “cardsofquality” which is really surprising to me it was available since I got it only this July, I have a soft spot for Pokémon and I really need to learn more and more, it might be an idea to showcase what you bought at what price you bought it at, or even what you plan to sell at what price or what sold at what price. Might be too much extra with the other commitments but could be something for down the line

    Buying at 65% is wild. Props to you if people take that offer. Not sure why they wouldn't just list on eBay, pay the 13% and get max value

    • @IntropyDR

      65% is actually much higher than a lot of the LGS in our area who pay around 50-55%. We also provide a generous bump up in trade credit, which people appreciate. At the end of the day, we always recommend people to sell their cards online to get maximum value out of their cards, but it's honestly a lot of work to sell online for an additional potential 10-15% that they would get after everything is said in done.

    • @JoshABH

      @@IntropyDR what’s the bump in trade come out to percentage wise?

    • @JoshABH

      @@IntropyDR it takes about 2 min to list a card on eBay these days. Can cut out a couple hours a day and list 60 cards. If people don’t want to put in the work they can easily package up all their cards and send to COMC. Let them do all the heavy lifting and pay a small percentage.

    • @jmc_-im6sd

      As someone whose dad owned a card shop in the 90s, I can tell you that 65% of ACTUAL value (sold prices) is much better than the 50% of "high Beckett" or 75% of "low Beckett" that was the standard forever. I think 65% is completely fair 👍

    CGC doesn’t sell? So dumb. CGC actually grades harder. Old psa are trash. Lol I got a fossil gengar psa 9 that is as$. If I crossed it would be CGC 6

    • @Greeey

      I’d say most collectors don’t want cgc. I was at this show day 2, it’s a massive showroom and I didn’t see any cgc slabs

    • @IntropyDR

      From our personal experience, we sell more volume and quicker with PSA slabs than we do BGS, SGC, and CGC combined. CGC may grade harder, but they are relatively newer in the TCG grading industry. Pair that with a recent "rebranding" and change in the look of their slabs is probably having collectors on the fence regarding if they want their cards in a CGC slab vs a company that has been around.

    • @ericstockman662

      @@IntropyDR that's because most buyers are drones connected to the hive mind pushing PSA crap. PSA slabs are of poor quality. CGC offers a thicker higher quality feeling slab with UV resistance. PSA offers zero.

    • @Ggsonly434

      @@ericstockman662 that’s exactly right. All old (and new, surprised slabs still suck ) psa have damage on top because they didn’t set them right. Slide. My friends psa 1st edition base charizard 9 would be a 8 or 7 with the damage if crossed. Pretty sure people have sued them for it so they now have disclosure

    • @Ggsonly434

      @@Greeey right, I see only psa because the grade doesn’t rep quality so I can make money. CGC and Beckett keep in PC. I bought a $50 psa 9 gengar that was so bad and sold it for $150. If they looked at it and not the grade, would never have bought it. Won’t have that issue with CGC. Slabs are set properly and don’t damage like psa
