    Great interview. I would have never thought about Hilti when looking at tools, but now, I can say they're a viable option for me because of this new platform. Thanks Vince.

    You are correct, this is not what I expected. I expected to be picked up by as I was promised by Vance so we could ride to the show together like planned. Instead, I receive a text the DAY BEFORE stating that he had 15 batches of vegan cookies he needed to bake, and that he would not be attending the show. I guess I was fooled again by the world's most deceptive vegan 😪

    7:08 is that a dust extractor attachment?

    • @patradoid
      @patradoid 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      it is. that was a hollow drill bit that attaches to the vac hose and sucks all the dust out off the hole so you dont need to cleat it. good for dowelling and chemical anchors installation. saves lots of time

    So does having a new battery interface compensate for still packing the same cylindrical batteries in the same inefficient square housing? He says the interface is set up for anything, like pouch style batteries "in the future", yet dewalt already has them on store shelves while they're "new tech" is just now being seen at shows.

    • @ZephyrWestWind
      @ZephyrWestWind 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is pouch style battery? The square housing on Hilit at least has cooling, chip coated in epoxy and proper copper wires to handle 100 amps compared to competition that also uses square housing.

      Forget about Hilti if you want light tools. That 12Ah pack has 5 pounds - mentioned in video above, and the tools are also wey to heavy, except SF 2-A12 @ 2.6Ah and even 4Ah pack that has 3 x 21700 cells. On 22V platform, old and new nuron both, all tools are wey to heavy, even SF 4-A22 compact @ 4Ah, but being spect 36 Nm soft torque as Makita DDF 480 brushless, there's no wonder is heavy. DDF480 @ 5Ah reach 1.794 Kg and need that 5Ah coz' it has 360W motor plus loses in driver so drains a lot of amps, more then a 2Ah pack can deliver w.o. being abused. But older DDF 456 with brushes, with same 36 Nm soft torque has 300 W motor and even with higher loses I think is so-so OK with a 2Ah pack and with that has 1,53 Kg that is wey more nicer.

      Lol you are so wrong it's crazy. They aren't the same Hilti as they were 10 years ago bud I have many cordless of what Hilti make and they are rugged, great performing tools. The battery life is superior to others as well, and I'm not even on the Nuron platform yet.

    Let me guess it uses yet another style of battery that isn’t capable with other hilti tools. It’s probably also 1/2 again as expensive and anemic compared to everything else on the market.

    • @boosted2.4_sky
      @boosted2.4_sky 2 ปีที่แล้ว

  • @Recoils14
    @Recoils14 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    Sadly HILTI likes to keep their prices incredibly high so that the GC's will sign up for their lease program and make it seem like they are getting a good deal. Kinda Skeezy. Also, they are relying on old technology while both DeWalt is bringing out the goods with the Power Stack.

    • @fmfpower20
      @fmfpower20 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      What are you talking about. It's $150 to get an impact gun from Hilti. All the batteries are the same price as Makita and milwaukee. Not to mention that Makita Milwaukee are junk as far as standing the test of time and putting them in the hands of workers on trucks. They always burn out the battery always fail etc... We have return been with multiple hammer drills multiple grinders multiple batteries that just don't work.

    • @tylersmith9868
      @tylersmith9868 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@fmfpower20 OP is ignorant. All depends on the tool some are a bit more than competitors and some are actually less.
