Guided Meditation for Self-Love and Self-Compassion

  • In this meditation to build self-love and self-compassion to learn to be kind to yourself. This is a gentle meditation that takes time to build up trust in the process of opening up to self love and it also addresses all the false beliefs which lead you to reject or criticize yourself, quieting the inner critical voice.
    In this, you start by opening up the body and accepting the body, as the first step to self-acceptance, and then building up self-love. As you are guided into increasing sensory awareness for your body this paves the way for emotional awareness of self, tuning in to yourself physically, first, as the body influences the mind. Through what may seem to be simple adjustments you actually assert your presence here in this world and begin the work to assert your right to be fully, completely who you are.
    As the guidance gently works on any rejection of self-love and slowly breaks down the barriers and defensiveness to allow in self-approval to entertain the idea that in self-love you are STRONGER. As you accept the idea of self-love, you are then reconnected to both breath and body. As you welcome in the body part by part and give thanks for all, you then reconnect as an even stronger collective energy. We continue on as you build momentum and we then focus on loving your mind, soul as well as your body.
    As we progress you learn that compassion is nothing to do with self-esteem, it does not need you to achieve anything, it is the love of who you are right now, on all days.
    As we carry on building up self-love and self-compassion, you are guided into a past memory or a part of you that you may wish to distance from yourself, and we go through integration work (this is parts therapy in hypnosis).
    Lastly, you are guided into future visualization and see yourself always loving and approving of yourself, no matter what happens in the day. As you create acceptance for yourself, you help someone else create a space for themselves in the world too. As we are all unique, we all desire the same commonalities: love, acceptance, belonging, and connection. From my heart to yours, Sarah

    Sarah, I really can't even begin to tell you how much this meditation is helping me. As someone who has gone through a lot of trauma and abuse I have needed to hear these things for my entire life. I feel my life transforming. Thank you from the bottom of my heart

    This is really effective! I was so criticized growing up and then in relationships. Shes talking about allowing yourself to feel worthy by making these statements. Better yet make a list of statements. God bless you all. We dont need to wear the jacket of self criticism.

    This was really helpful. I managed to cry (have been blocked for so long). But Jesus is here with me now and he thanks you and shows me the path that I need to walk. He is giving me a Light to keep in my Heart. Life has been tough but Love Conquers Fear!!! Blessings

After 6 years I finally am at the "end of the beginning" of all the work to transition from old life to new life (new home, new career) and all this means I have more time to give MORE next year.       Good way to do a "replace" activity instead of a hard stop. It's much easier to persuade the mind to divert energy instead of saying "don't do..x". Wishing you the best, Sarah

    Really struggling with this today - a lot of inner conflict, resistance and negativity. I can't seem to "let go", which makes me feel worse.
