I discovered you a few years ago when I did a search for Fur Elise. I found your version and have been a fan ever since. You are definitely my favorite pianist

Piano Sonata No. 25 “Cuckoo” in G major, Op. 79 00:00 - I. Presto alla tedesca 04:27 - II. Andante 07:56 - III. Vivace Piano Sonata No 25 was written by Ludwig van Beethoven in 1809. It is alternatively titled "Cuckoo" or "Sonatina," and it is notable for its shortness. It is the shortest of his sonatas with three movements.
Totally brilliant! My absolute favorite Beethoven piece. From its beginning youthful joy to the melancholy, then slipping into that deep profound movement and its resolution to its mature, grownup joy . . . was so perfectly expressed by your hands and heart. You clearly show a very deep understanding of what this piece is all about. Just can’t thank you enough for all the work you must have done to present this most beautiful music with such a deep understanding. Thank you!
@@squeakysneakers6685 yes indeed! Something tells me she could have been the very best at anything she chose to do~ I’m selfishly so glad she chose the piano~ there are some days where the only solace in the planet is in listening to her play
I can feel my pulse slowing down when I listen to you. To find inner peace during the pandemic is not always easy, your music helps me calm down. Thank you Valentina. 💖
Dear Val, I absolutely love this series you're gifting us. Each interpretation brings out something new in each work and your obvious enthusiasm and enjoyment takes us along as if in flood. I am not forgetting the intense intellectual effort and hours of practice that go to give us such wonderful experiences. I wish you the very best in your music making and personal life. Take care, Sakuntala Basu from India
You seem to enjoy every bit of the music you perform, and your love of the tones that the various composers create, injects itself into your interpretations. Truly wonderful, awesome and exemplary. I only "discovered" your marvellous playing two days ago, on Facebook. Your playing and interpretations are flawless ! Thank you.
I was dealt a pretty tough hand, and I went through some of the most agonizing heartache and pain imaginable 2019-2020. I honestly do not think I could have gotten through all of that without your music. I swear, half of your youtube views could be attributed to me 🤣 Seriously though, ^ not kidding. I think your soul is as beautiful as your playing, and I hope that I may one day be half the pianist you are!
Your passion and talent bring tears of joy to me. I count it a privilege to here you play and I hope that one day I can experience a live program. Beautiful.......beautiful.....
Hello Valentina. I am a particular fan of Bach and Beethoven. I admire your work. You are at the top among the best pianists in the world, and my favorite. I just LOVE your overall technical and melodic perfection and your superb interpretation of Bach - especially Partita No 2. Would love to see you perform more Bach.
I love you Valentina, for your spirit & how you convey it through this magnificent instrument; it's indescribable. You're my most favorite musician in this world & what I wouldn't do to be disciplined by you on piano; my soul soaring with interpretations & rests. I wish for you ✌💛🙏
You and Beethoven share a soul💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚 I can hear him breathing and feel his heart beating when you play 💕 and it is all wrapped up in every single one of your emotions, like a rare rainbow in the sun
Ahhh.... Your joyous , playful side is revealed with this Sonata. Wonderful , heart-reaching performance Valentina . A great admirer and an aspiring pianist , scientist and schoolboy from India , Soham Satapathy. I was in love with your channel 5 years ago , when I came across your performance of Beethoven's Hammerklavier Sonata. Once again , thank you so very much.
My deepest gratitude to Ms Lisitsa... making me fall in love with one of my least favourite Beethoven sonata. Your music is so magical and unique to me!!!
Valentina lisitsa interpretation is like when you flip a pancake just right and that your favorite show is on tv
*It's just perfect*
Valentina, your interpretations of Beethoven sonatas are unmatchable. I love them
Same! Daniel Barenboim used to be my only favorite Beethoven pianist, but Valentina Lisitsa plays so differently yet just as amazingly!
Valentina has great virtuoso ability but lack of poetic and character compare to Wilhelm Kempff.
And Rachmaninov as well!!
@@canman5060 , listening to a kempff version of this he seems less good. I did only listen to the first movement though.
@@canman5060 I know where your coming from, I find Kempff's interpretations often drag on a bit, I think theres a balance somewhere between the two
I love how she really enjoys what she's playing. Thank you for sharing these interpretations with us!
I was just gonna say it's fun how perky and happy she looks here :)

LOL I'm sure Beethoven would be glad to hear the only thing distinctive about his sonata is it's "shortness"
