    I went there every summer as a child & had formed a atrong emotional attachment to that place. I continued to visit whenever possible as an adult as well. Being near the lake & and especially taking a cruise ON the lake brings me such inner peace. My fave cruise was Lac du San Sacrament's Sunday Brunch cruise. The food was a mix of breakfast and lunch options and a complimentary glass of champagne was served to each passenger exactly at 12pm shove-off time.
    Lake George will always have a piece of my heart! 🥰

      Hi Wendy, thank you for watching and the nice compliments. I totally get your connection to the lake. I spent a lot of my younger years on Lake Winnipesaukee in NH and feel the same way. Taking a ride on the M/S Mount Washington was so relaxing. I would just enjoy the views and escape into peacefulness. We actually just visited Lake George a few weeks ago, and I just posted a video of the trip. Once it's done processing, I'm going to release it. I'm thinking next week sometime. I'll reply to your comment here when it goes live - there's a few minutes of us following the Lac du San Sacrament around the lake while I took videos of it.

    If you think the bottom end of the lake is heaven, then you really should take a trip up to the northern end. It is heaven AND a tranquil paradise to boot. Just peaceful, slow and rustic escape.

      We go to see a little bit of it when we took the lake tour. The boat went up about 2/3 of the way and showed us where no development is allowed because it's part of Adirondack Park - I think that's what the captain said.

I know I only covered the touristy areas in the video, but I figured there were tons of cool places to visit away from the touristy stuff. That is so awesome. When I was younger, my family would go on vacation at a different lake in upstate NY, and it was always so sad to leave. Have so many great memories from there. WA is a beautiful state. We visited a few years ago, and there was such a variety of things to see - from the beautiful rain forests that looked like nothing I'd ever seen to Puget Sound and the mountains and waterfalls in the Snoqualmie Mountains other national forests. That was another vacation that I didn't want to go home from.

    • @MarkDHall
      @MarkDHall  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! We don't think so as long as you stick to the main road (route 9). There are TONS of campers and RVs in the area. Route 9 is 2 lanes in each direction with parking in a 3rd lane along the shoulder, so the road is wide. You might have issues if you turn down the side streets or get yourself in a situation where you have to back up, but otherwise, you should be good.

    Hello Mark at the end of the video it looks like you were at a hotel balcony, what was the name of the hotel and were you allowed to park you car and boat trailer at the hotel. Gil

    • @MarkDHall
      @MarkDHall  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi Gil. The pictures of the hotels in "the village" were taken as we walked along the main road. I don't think any allow trailers. Parking for cars is almost impossible to find, and there's no room for trailers. We stayed at a motel about 10 miles away in the town of Lake Luzerne and parked the car/trailer in the public boat launch area at Million Dollar Beach when we were boating. There are some private ramps where you can park a trailer, but the prices are insane. Prices like $25 to launch a boat, $25 to take it out and $75 to park the car/trailer for the day are not uncommon. If you're thinking of going to Lake George, they have uncommon boat inspection requirements before you can launch, plus you have to buy a permit to use the water. This video explains more about it: th-cam.com/video/UhAYGR5c9t8/w-d-xo.html

      Hi! I apologize for the slow reply. Thank you for the nice comment about the Winnipesaukee videos. It's beautiful there, but so is Lake George. When we visited and stayed overnight, we made our reservations last minute, so there were no hotels with vacancies in the village area, so we never found out if slips were available. There are a bunch of hotels in the area linked below that had docks. I'm thinking they're for guests, but I could be wrong. I hope you find somewhere nice that does have slips.
