Honestly, smith has proven he cant lead this team. Hes just here for the bag. If js doesnt go big in fa or the draft, i think hes out. Cause these results, this is HIS team. Plus this season showed just how bad carrolls teams were & its time to fully move on from the carroll era
Can't completely blame Geno when you aren't helping him out with running the ball and staying out of shotgun 75% of the game oline is way better but Grubb does nothing to help anyone out by running at least 42% of the time especially when you know your QB is hurt
@blueandgreenzone I was talking about his season as a whole & the past 3 years with him as a starter, if the seahawks fo was smart, they'd move away from him cause he's looking for a payday, but his results over the past 3 seasons say he hasn't earned that big payday
Geno has literally led the league in 4th Q comebacks. You do realize that last INT is not on Geno, right? First, there is a defender in his lap in about 1 second (with a 3 man rush) ... 2nd he expects DK to be there. How about the unbelievable throws he made on each of the 3 TD drives??? Do they mean anything?
I'm just sick of how soft the league has become with D PI calls. It's like they are trying to fabricate more offensive scoring and "𝙚𝙭𝙘𝙞𝙩𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩" I don't want the NFL to become like the NBA with fouls
Vikings fan here: Geno is pre-KOC Kirk. Plays the position the right way, at a very high level 95% of the time, then system-failure back-breaking interceptions. Made me really appreciate Kwesi for finally moving on from him. I don't know what Seattle should do, the only other observation i have for you: DK Metcalf is as overrated as JSN is underrated.
Appreciate the comment. We just gotta pluck KOC right hand guy and give Geno a legit system that is balanced and makes things easier on the QB vs. hero ball status.
@@MaverickJohnson007 Not necessarily. It we only need to beat the Rams in the final game (with a Cardinals loss) then it must mean we either have the better win/loss percentage in common games or, if that's tied, a better win/loss percentage in conference games.
@@SeaHawkersPodcastGeno is a baller. You can't ask him to throw 40 times a game especially when the game is close and we're running 4ypc.... We need to pretty much take points when we're in position instead of going for it on 4th being greedy.
@@MaverickJohnson007you answered your own question Geno is fine play calling is not when you play shotgun pass 76% of the game with a injured QB you won't win and Geno shouldn't be throwing 49 times a game only like 28-32 run the ball help your offense out Grubb is to blame not Geno and in not saying he played his best but it's easy to pick a injured QB when he's hurt and not running the ball more than 10 times a game control the clock help the defense out
Frustrating loss but this team proved it can win against a top 5 contender. Definitely need more kenny either run or throw in space. He's a natural and lays the wood at the end
This is what Seattle is. An above league average defense with a bottom of the league offense and undisciplined play. Seattle hasn’t done the basics right for several years.
And we're talking about what needs to change... They were a top 10 offense just last year. For me, it's not a talent issue. The flags and procedural stuff was numbing yesterday.
Schemes play calls no outs to throw the ball when getting blitzed no running the ball and using shotgun 76% of the game and what's sad the most is we have a decently good oline finally the best we've had since 2013
The problem is we are not running the ball does no good to use under center and run 6 times and 4 times in shotgun the play calling has lost these games not Geno not Metcalf ryan grubb has lost these games
Quit making excuses for Geno. He chucked that last ball up blindly because of pressure. DK gave up on it because he saw how they had it covered it didn't expect the ball to come his way. It was a poor decision from Geno. Even a sack would've been better
Over 312 yards passing and 3 TDs against the great Vikings team with a horrible offensive line and no run game. He's the only bright spot for you Seahawk fans.
You're objectively wrong and the film proves it. The route was a deep out that is supposed to go "under" the safety. Meaning DK has to cross the face of that deepest defender and be in that space. If you really understand football, which you clearly don't based on your take, you'd understand that type of play is strictly timing based. The WR has to be in a certain spot at a certain time and the QB needs to throw it to a certain spot at a certain time. I won't go as far as to say it's an automatic throw. That implies it's blind (like a smoke screen for example, you throw without even looking at the full picture because it has to be very quick) which it was not. However it is a situation where the QB is going to throw it the moment he sees his guy at proper depth assuming he breaks the stem correctly. You can and should criticize Geno for the first interception. Full on avoidable bone head play. You can and should criticize Geno for maybe one or two more that weren't caught. There are moments his decision making needs to be cleaner. Give up and fight another down type shit ya know. In this specific case though it's not on Geno and you can't use it as ammunition for your "Geno sucks and we should move on" argument.
Geno has literally LOST more games then he has won as a hawks starter. I’m over the mediocre season. 4 years in a row we are nothing but average every year. We need the next Russ Wilson. Someone who doesn’t mind running
These have not been very good teams. Last year's D was disgustingly bad. This year, the offensive scheme does little to help any QB. Throw Goff, Darnold, Mayfield, Love into this team and they all would struggle big time. IMO it's shortsighted to not see Geno can be very successful and finding a Geno+ is very very difficult to do.
First time tuning into your broadcast. What a breath of fresh air. You guys actually watched the game. You guys actually understand football. Thanks for this. Well done!
Seems like after this game, it'd be a crime not to take play calling away from grubb and just see what Peetz has for the last couple games.
LOL. I wish.
Exactly I blame play calls
We wrestled defeat from the jaws of victory.
K9 equals the Russel Wilson (latter stage with Seahawks) of RBs

Geno ain't it. He's not clutch and can't be counted on to win when everything is on the line.
Genos definitely clutch! That's maybe his best quality. He's top three in game winning drives.
Easy to forget that he led a go-ahead drive in the 4th, but then the defense gave it back in 30 seconds.
The refs were gosh-awful
They did not help us. That lame holding call on Leo was atrocious.
