Has a fantastic road presence. Reliability has been great. Buick is never the best at any one thing... it is the best at doing everthing well and for a price cheaper than the compeition. I was very unhappy when Buick lost its stride and I hope they are getting back in the American game because they are an amazing brand.
I bought a 2022 brand new Enclave for our little family (3 kiddos). I would buy another in a heartbeat. Fantastic SUV, lots of room (including cargo space) and great, smooth ride.
I like your idea of measuring a combination legroom of 2nd and 3rd rows. I also like that you put real carry-on luggage into the truck to show the trunk space. I like this SUV a lot because it is intended for the road trip purpose. The pieces of luggage that can be put in the trunk are one of my greatest concerns! Good Job!
I agree with your opinion about the front end look. I literally love everything else about the vehicle design, interior and exterior. The front i'm torn on, sometimes it looks good, other times it looks bad. I'm comparing this model with the GMC Acadia.
I have to say, the Encalve and the TX are my favorite options in this segment, as much as I love the TX, I have to give to Buick, the interior does look better than the TX and I think the color scheme has a lot to do with that, although I do prefer the powertrains in the TX tho, plus it has heated and ventialted rear seats, which is a pretty big deal for me as Texas dweller
I dont remember which car I was in, but to use the shift paddles, you had to first double tap one. As I have hit the paddles on accident, it makes sense to have way to "activate" them. I much prefer that double tap to an additonal button tho.
100% agree on the front look, not sure why they designed that way. I am still in my 17 enclave due to the roomy 1st and 2nd row. significantly larger than my mdx. was considering some EVs but the headroom is a issue for me
Im a widow and can't afford a new car. I'm looking at a used 2017 Enclave. Clean carfax (all scheduled maintenance done on time). My concern is I NEED something SUPER RELIABLE!!!! Good review and great information👍👍. Now if they can have better powertrain options such as a hybrid or plug -in- hybrid they would be more competitive in fuel economy.

The front is nice, the rear is adequate but the profile just isn't quite there.. The wheel arches are weird. The second row bench seat will make it a great alternative to minivans.
It's loosely based off the 2.7L turbo 4 in the Colorado and Silverado. Those engines have been in production for years and they are known for being very stout.

This Enclave blows the Lexus TX and Acura MDX out of the water in design alone. I think they did a better job of executing an upscale interior and exterior design than Mazda has with the CX-90 as well. The technology comparisons will be embarrassing for Mazda, Toyota and Honda. Reliability roughly the same as those Japanese brands and luxury/comfort is actually in Buick’s favor again as the TX doesn’t hold a candle to this in that regard. The Buick is also more spacious & practical even if it were the same price of the Lexus or Volvo I could see many reasons why a family would chose it over them. Buick did a good job with the packaging, interesting that the Enclave will also be thousands cheaper than those offerings. I didn’t expect that.
This looks amazing. Buick really outdid themselves🎉 The GH and TX are officially toast. They’re history. They can’t compete. The enclave Alex is 9K cheaper and better than the TX. It’s within 1 mpg in the city and 3 on the highway in an AWD Enclave, if we’re talking about the Turbo i4 Explorer. It has more horsepower, more torque and is bigger. Its transmission also has two less gears (8 vs 10) which may affect its highway gas mileage. But all in all it’s perfectly reasonable mileage in this segment for a vehicle of this size. Basically matches the Palisade and Telluride with more horsepower and torque.
Two more draw backs for the Lexus TX: TX's 3rd row has two seats vs 3 for the Buick and TX needs premium fuel vs. Buick's regular so even if its MPG is higher with a hybrid system the cost of fuel should be pretty much the same. I will go with this Buick instead of TX

The MDX Type S is less than 30 more horsepower than this, at 355. The standard engine is less at 290. The Volvo with the hybrid system is going to cost you another 10 grand at minimum, considering it starts at $71,000 for a base plug-in hybrid model, and you won’t be getting many extra features for that price. You’re not really comparing apples to apples here. Not to mention in terms of size, they aren’t comparable either.

What reliability stats are you using to make that decision?
Buick ranks among the highest in reliability, try again.
Oh riiiiiiiight😂. The second you put any logo that’s not Toyota or Lexus they’re suddenly unreliable and the biggest pile of junk to exist
How about you get with the times year one grandpa?
Compared to toyota miles behind in reliability. I drove a flagship chevy truck, best of what they had in 07. Done oil changes and maintenance religiously. For engine only last a little over two hundred thousand, same as the next engine 200k miles before the good ls3 engines give out.
@@lilred1107According to JD Power.. but according to Consumer Reports, they’re at the bottom.
No hybrid powertrain is a deal killer
kmao.. no one is cross-shopping lexus and buick
I am now.
They are and Lexus is significantly worse in just about every way like the Mitsubishi mirage is
Engine is... not that good. Tried it out and it's just not refined at all, and not actually that fast. The Honda V6 feels better even though it is less powerful on paper.
Made in China?
No, the Enclave is made in Detroit, Michigan
It’s the only Buick model that is made in the usa
No hybrid. No plug-in. Really? We are not in 90's anymore. Huge letdown.
No hybrid, no option for me.
