    Thanks for the walk-around tour. The early morning hour was a great time to see the boat. Excellent overview!

    My first Windstar cruise, we had porthole windows and I spent half the night watch8ng the water. That was 1992 or so. Still a Windstar-only cruiser!

    I just ran across this video. Thank you for posting this. We were on this cruise in October 2016 and got spoiled for any other cruise line. This is worth experiencing once and the South Pacific is incredible. The crew knew us within a day or so of boarding and we knew most of the passengers before it was over. It was the best 2 week vacation and one of the most memorable experiences of our lives.

    We just spent a week on Windstar Spirit from Papeete. The staff,food,service is world class. NOTHING is a bother. The staff go out of there way for your comfort. The tours on shore and water sports are unbelievable. A great Captain who kept us well informed at all times & also mingled with passengers. We would repeat this tour in a heartbeat. Thanks Windstar Spirit.

    Thank you, we actually just booked a cruise and will be in cabin 135. The walk-through was very helpful and was nice to see the cabin we’ll be staying in.

    Love cruise ship tours like this! Not a travel agent, just someone showing their vacation!

    Nice! Looks like the the way to do it! The big boys remind me of living in a mall with a dozen ways from Sunday to max out your plastic! Thanx for posting.

    Doing our fifth (5th) Windstar voyage in one week - January 4th - from St. Maarten aboard our favorite yacht, the Windsurf ( the largest of the "Wind" class yachts ). Very curious to see what the November refurbishment did for the ship...will be back to provide a comprehensive review via Aloha Adventure & Leisure Travel's Facebook page and website.

    My wife and I cruised aboard Windstar in 2014 for the Monte Carlo Formula GP race. We enjoyed the ship itself 7 days, start and finish in Rome. We hit Cannes, Portofino and a few others, enjoyed the ports very much. But didn't care much for the tendering, being that the Windstar is not so big, we presumed we would pull in and dock more but we tendered more than we docked. And the tenders weren't so easy to embark or disembark in the rough seas. Second thing was the Very small bathroom especially the shower, it was well equipped with modern conveniences but small. We LOVED the crew!! We had access to the bridge, the Captain flew my Ferrari Flag the whole cruise. I remember one of the staff officers buying us drinks, that has never happened before or since.

    this was better and more informative than any review I have read. Thanks a lot. thinking about doing greek islands now in september. Afraid that my overactive sportive husband might be bored.

      He might be. The Med is not sports oriented. It is hard to do any SCUBA in the Med although my wife and I did find some diving for the passengers off the coast of Dubrovnik in the Adriatic and Elba and Corfu in the Greek isles. Definitely not much to snorkel on. We were the sports directors on the ship. Mostly water skiing and banana riding, some sailing but very commercially congested around most of the ports so sailing was not a safe activity to offer the passengers. You will love the Greek island however. Have fun.

    Hello,
    Excellent video tour!
    My one question is, the dining, is it Communal dining every night ( it would be just my wife and I ) and I don't mind it, but can we get a romantic two top table maybe once during our stay?
    Tia

    Hey, thanks for the tour! We are sailing her in March next year. 26 day all through the Caribbean and them Accross the Atlantic to Portugal. Really looking forward to it. Ive cruised similar waters on my own 46 foot sailboat. So to us, the accommodations will be wonderful! And am really ready to get away from the giant cruise ships with thousands of people. Tell me, did they use the sails much and could you feel the effect of the wind on the vessel at all. Hope we get some extra push from them. Again thanks for taking the time to do this.

      Fred Read yes. The captain made it clear to everyone that he hates using “the noisy things in the basement” it was very interesting to go on the bridge and see all the electronic sailing control equipment and hear the Captain explaining how everything works. It’s a remarkable vessel and you won’t be in ports at times that other larger “floating hotels” are in port. It really is a top notch experience its worth every penny. The ship has a keel and stabilizers so it doesn’t heel much at all if any. As a sailor you will love it

      No need for an elevator. It’s only three floors. They do have one for people with disabilities

    We are thinking of booking on this ship for a cruise to Croatia and Greece because of the max port time, but I have a couple of questions, my husband and I will be traveling with our adult Children (20 and 25) and wonder if they will be bored even if we plan on spending as much time as possible at the ports soaking up the culture. Second question is sea sickness on this size ship compared to a large ship? Thanks

    Thank you for posting,especially for a 6 a.m. tour!
    Question. I have done most of the larger cruise ships, Carnival, RC, Princess and enjoyed them, but Doing one of these ships is a dream of mine, (a yacht type). What are the passenger demographics on these cruises?
    I've heard early retired, wealthy business owners and so forth. If that is the case not sure my wife and I would fit in being I'm a regular Joe (middle class, working,). If you can give me your thoughts from what you've experienced, it would be appreciated.
    Thank you

    • @SchmoopsAdventures
      @SchmoopsAdventures  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      key West SUNSET you're correct in your assessment of the demographic however everyone was very nice and friendly. The trip total was over $10k so you won't have riff raf or many young people

    Do they have entertainment onboard ? They have dj ?

    • @SchmoopsAdventures
      @SchmoopsAdventures  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      They always have a great band. Usually local to the region as well as an MC that hosts game nights like trivia etc. Keep in mind it’s a very small ship. No big shows or productions.

    How can they say there was no gambling when in port? you are on a ship going into port, that's always a gamble.

    What ship is this? The Legend?

  • @fancynancymacy
    @fancynancymacy ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Its so small

    • @SchmoopsAdventures
      @SchmoopsAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good thing. This ship gets into the smaller and more unique ports of call. When you make landfall and the ship empties, the local places are not polluted with 3000 American tourist. you don’t have to wait in line for everything and the staff to guest ratio is 5 times what it is on a giant floating hotel.
