1973-1977 GM Monte Carlo Dash Pad & Lower Removal

- This video will go through the process of removing the upper pad from the lower section. The upper pad in most cases is removable as long as it is a two part dash. I have ran into a few 73s that have had a 1 part dash, this may have been from early production of the vehicles however most I find are two part with a removable pad and lower section. The lower section of the dashes are often replaced due to someone cutting a CD player opening in the radio area & the owner would like to go back to a factory look or another common purpose is the glove box latching mount is broken.
We have lower dashes available and uppers (that are cracked). If your interested in buying a spare pad to send off for repairs or upholstery please don't hesitate to look us up on facebook and send us a message!
Thanks for watching!
Thank you!
Hi do you still have this lower dash half for sale or no? I know the video is old so it's a long shot but thought I'd try anyhow...
Do you know where I can get part's for a 76/77 buick regal buick century same car basically I need part's for them I have 4 of them any help would be appreciated..
Some Monte carlo stuff will interchange. Interior components but not many. Buick parts are extremely hard to find. I have only seen one for sale in the last 5 years.
How dose the bezel come off
I can't remove the meter. I would like to know how to remove the meter.
Send us an email....what meter are you trying to remove? Shoot over some photos. 73to77gmparts@gmail.com
Do they make replacement top dash pad? I can only find dash pad covers.
I subscribed to your channel. I have a 1976 single headlight malibu with the large opera quarter windows.
@@clawwill34 AWESOME! So at this time there are no replacement tops. You can send yours off to just dashes in CA for a small fortune to have them redo it. All said and done shipping there and back you will be $1500-2000 into it. Only other options are the caps like you said which do not fit well. Wrap the dash like I did on mine or find an NOS one and spend a grand or so. Limited options right now!
@@73-77gmparts The plastic covers from Coverlay or Dashtop look pretty good to the casual eye. I have one on my 76 El Camino, looks good.
Where will you post the dash bottom? Could you send a link, thanks!
one will be posted today at facebook.com/73to77gmparts

No but the dashboard had been replaced with OEM in 1985 when my uncle had the car refinished due to the original paint fading 😎 the dashboard was delivered black and vinyl dyed to match the tan interior. There are No cracks!
I think it’s worth $ 1000…
