I purchased it at a musical instrument store sale in Japan for 380$ and it's been delivering an excellent sound without any particular drawbacks. It's my favorite instrument, as it produces a very good clean tone that suits the blues I mainly play. Occasionally, when I want to distort the sound, it performs admirably well.
Epiphones are real Les Pauls too. With headphones it sounds great to me, but it is has some flame, that would be awesome, but maybe all Classics have regular tops. 🤔
I've recently bought the 2020 classic, but not the worn model. It seens that the classic' series worn models don't have cts pots and there is a huge difference in the sound, given I've played both of them in the shop before buying. Props for the video, awesome content.
Great demo, my friend! You sold me! I went down to my local “guy” today and he ordered me one. He had the gold top and black models there but I love the cherry burst. Loved the wood feel on the neck. Cannot wait for it to come in. I’ve watched a few demo reviews of these before I decided to pull the trigger but you sold me on it. New subscriber!
Istvan De Jesús absolutely. These are great guitars. Had a chance to try the new 50’s standard the other day. Sounds and plays exactly like a Les Paul 😊🎸
A very nice guitar Brett, and a really good demo. Having owned a couple of Gibson LP’s, and several Epiphone LP’s over the years, I would happily choose one of these any day. Gibson lost the wow factor for me a long time ago. A good Epiphone, like the model demo’d will get the job done nicely, as can be seen and heard here. Thanks Brett.
This guitar sounds amazing. Much of it due to you being a fantastic player! I also dig how you threw in some classic riffs and licks in a very sneaky way, haha! Your my favourite demo guy out there!
I like the guitar but I don't really like the pickups. Personally, I'd put some of Jim Wagner's Darkburst pickups in there or maybe Duncan's Slash set...something that gets a bit squishy when gain is added. Also, I have a question...is this a light guitar? Pretty much all the Epi LP's I've tried over the last couple of years seem to be weight relieved, to the point of having varying degrees of neck-dive. Les Pauls aren't supposed to neck dive. If these new Epiphones aren't weight relieved, there's a pretty good chance I'll buy one. Spend less on the guitar and there's more money to spend on a nice amp or modeling software.
Just got this Les Paul in this finish today. I'm so pleased, I can't put it down
That sound through the JTM45 clean.... just mega!
Got worn gold for Christmas! Piped through my Marshall Code 50 is ridiculous ! Love it !😍

Those Epiphone’s are just really well made. Not a Gibson but a really, really, REALLY close Les Paul. No brainer. God bless!!!

David Morisset so true. I always tell people do you know whose idea it was to have Epiphone make Les Pauls? Les Paul!
@@erictoniaschwab1009 It was his idea? I never knew that. All the more reason to get one!
Just picking up the Honeyburst of this guitar tomorrow. Thanks for the great demo, love the clean tones especially. Kickass playing.

Damn, son! That's a great soundin' Epiphone.
Looks and sounds awesome, my only gripe is the stripes on the back.
Love that headstock. 😎
Wow..fantastic tone..thanks epiphone bring the gibson brand
Which better epiphone classic and epiphone standard 50's?
Sounds awesome, but every guitar you play does. The JTM 45 clean sounds amazing every time I hear it.
This guitar sounds very good without the poly and those hot pickups.
These range of Epiphones is what Squier Classic Vibe is to Fender.

Have this epiphone great guitar
Nope not the new epiphone gibson inspired
Great video! I’m going to get the Gold Top. Your video helped me decide. Thanks!

How do you like it compared to the 60.s standard.
Love it, own it.
Do the coil tapping tone test
Man, it has coil-splitting too ;) Anyway great playing!
Crazy great playing....

In Japan, this guitar sells for about $ 415. I think it is very cost-effective.
Sounded great! Brilliant playing!
Sounds better than my LP Standard! 👍
This guy could make a wooden tent peg sound like a 59.
very nice sound, same with 50s standard.better buy Epiphone than gibson cheap price with top quality 👍
Why dor,T You Get thin tunir
Nice one :)
Remarkable! Great playing on a "won't break the bank" Les Paul, I'm not so bad, but...

Did you ever find out if they do have weight relief? I’m interested in buying one but I’m not interested in neck dive
@@eldyko I haven't. I wish I could say one way or the other but I don't know.
djent, djent, djent...crikey, they're at a bargain price too.
9th
Sounds wonderful Glad they've changed that ugly head stock, but the "worn " thing is just a way of selling rejects for full whack
