Mine is great for the lemon tree, lemons are tough, but I cannot use it on the papaya tree without stabbing the soft fruit. Anyone got any tips for avoiding that?

How about getting some thick-wall silicone tubing to slide over the hooks and extend beyond the end of the hooks?
