RIP Dennis. Such a wonderful songwriter and singer and a surprisingly accomplished slack key guitarist too. I saw him twice, Santa Cruz and Maui, and met him one time. So many of his songs have become standards that are covered by other Hawaiian artists. I have the DVD of that concert, Nathan and Led signed the cover for me at other shows they did in Santa Cruz, CA. It is a joy to watch and listen to these performances.

Mid 70's the Hui O Hana played at the newly reopened King Kamehameha Hotel in Kona where I was lucky to be in the house band. Already a huge fan, in person they knocked me out. Ledward, my god, he rivals any guitar player on the planet. What an amazing jam this video is, must check out the whole thing. Mahalo for posting.
