    Wow. This is the first person I've come across who is doing the same as me. I generally buy in and around Greater London, where I'm from. Currently I'm buying a two bed flat with a garden for £180k, legals £10k, £10k touching up. To extend the lease is £50k (freeholder already quoted via their solicitor). All money in is around £250k, property is valued at £320k minimum, giving me a £70k uplift. It'll be rented and refinanced. Another good method is if you find a flat with a low lease that has a low purchase price, simply search for properties in the same block who have extended their lease via the Land Registry. This will provide you with an estimated cost when apply to renew. It's a great business model. Thanks for sharing Jason. All the best.

    Doesn't work the same these daysm vendors want the full premium, interest rates make BTL loss making when including all service charges and costs.
