@@Bdots44 serving line bigger = lower serve % which is worse. Bigger nhz I’m more ok with but it would likely cause more injuries. Bigger ball is easier to receive and makes hitting slightly harder which is ideal imo. Also if bigger ball was the change I’d maybe want to make serves easier to land (so like head height over shoulder height maybe) that way we are landing more serves but it’s easier to return them so we are playing more points and double faulting less. I’d like the idea of the nhz also being something physical vs being a painted line. Whether it’s part of the net (like how the mammoth nets legs come outward to form a nhz) or an attachment that you buy and place around the net. That way: 1 without observers it’s obvious if someone is in it 2 it’s harder cause people can’t set the ball in it now 3 you couldn’t hit drops in that area any more. Imo those 2 are good steps to improving the game, the problem isn’t that serves are just too good. It’s also the issue that hitting is too good, if you watch most of my games I do hit a lot of good serves but my put away % is actually my best stat majority of the time. If we make it easier to land serves, but harder to ace people and put the ball away we will get into a much area for the game.
@@thomashamilton1367 Yeah, the serving line distance being increased was just an idea I’ve heard, I personally don’t want it. I agree with you that serving isn’t too “op”, but rather hitting/put aways. I don’t want the ball size increased though, I think that changes the game too much. Say goodbye to the cut and reverse serves, which imo when a good one lands is one of the most hype things in the sport. I don’t really want that to change lol. Who doesn’t love a good ace? Why would more players get hurt with a bigger NHZ? The sets would no longer be able to go to the middle of the net. We just want to nerf crazy pulls/pushes to allow for more potential rallies. I think players would adjust and avoid injury. If it were up to me, I’d double (maybe even triple) the no hit zone diameter and keep every other rule the same. I think the sport is in a great place personally, it’s just rallies can be a bit lacking at the highest levels, but this would fix that I’m almost positive
3/3 on body block
glad to see thomas landing serves again. i still think he’s the scariest person to receive given they are landing.
Vinny about to get the serving rules changed
numb looking like CRA Hung Sheldon out there

All the more reason for a bigger ball and future changes
@@thomashamilton1367 yeees!!
@@thomashamilton1367why a bigger ball? Just make the serving line distance and the no hit zone bigger
