Good thing he doesn't appear to be food agressive! Where were those kids parents?!? Kids can not walk up to a random dog and pet/climb on it. Dethan is a beautiful pup! I'd love to snuggle with him :-)

For all you know there had been other kids/parents who asked about their kid petting the dog and Dethan's hoomin said that it was fine, that he likes kids.
But I do agree with you on the principle! I always ask if it's OK that I 'say hello', no matter how friendly the dog seems. Usually the person seems a bit surprised, so usually people probably just move in! But you never know the situation. Maybe it's a rescue who is just learning to trust, and the owner is slowly working on it. Maybe it's a dog that nips a little but in a playful way? (And some damn lawyer sees the opportunity to sue.) Or it's a dog that is a bit bitey and it's a nightmare for the owner with people who go up to them!
I don't think you can give dogs dairy products. but anyway I'm not complaining what a beautiful dog you have there 😀
