This is what I was looking for. Same issue with the bearing being loose inside the plastic containment housing, and the shaft clunking around in it after installation. Heck, my original bushing was still tighter than that, so I knew this bearing assembly couldn't be correct, so I've been searching for videos where people are showing the assembly of the bearing and how it's contained, rather than simply installing it, and yours is the only one I've found. Seems kinda dumb this bearing is sent out unassembled, leaving the customer to "snap" it together, when it seems obvious that fitment should be checked before sending them out. I didn't get mine from steering column services, but I'll be contacting them for a new one. Thanks!

I know this is an older video but hoping you still reply! I just replaced the intermediate steering shaft on my ‘96 K1500. The steering wheel now feels a little “off”, but not by much. Is it possible that I installed the steering coupler (rag joint) off by a spline or two on the steering gear input shaft? Or is there only one way the coupler fits onto the shaft? Thanks for the vid!

But some added goodness: finger a little bearing grease on them bearings for added longevity. Also theirs an o-ring inside the bearing. To make it a little easier too take a scotch to the shaft portion and place a little, neumatic oil, light oil an or i prefer some dish soap. Dish soap in a day or two evaporates.
