In the time i was born, my memory is that each of the three Archangels had their own feast days. I was born on the feast day of St. Raphael, so my parents gave me his name as my middle name. It took me decades to sit down and read the book of Tobit to learn about my namesake. It's been even longer that I've neglected asking for his intercession on my behalf. Now the three archangels feast days have been consilidated into one. I'm glad, though, that i was born when St.Raphael had his own day, and that his name was given to me.
