I matched the 50 colors and names from the original set to the newer 50 color charts. They have changed those same names/numbers in the newer updated 50 set as well. Since these are budget pencils you might not get consistent pigment color across the board so some slight variation is to be expected. You can tell the 22 new colors are the ones numbered from B3001 through B3022.
I keep the 520 set on my desktop, as does Frugal Crafter. These & the pastels are my go-to. Even tho I have the Polychromos, I prefer the way these perform w/ crisp color laydown, nice sharp points, dust free, and plenty of pigment; and worthy of being 2 to 3x's the price.
Still love the old formula Prisma's.
I'm in love with the 520 set! I keep mine in a big 480 pencil case with a little separate one for the metallics and neons. I collect vintage Prisma too. Thanks for watching! 🤗

I found my set to have 29 new colours, that’s going by swatches not names or numbers. Some colours are very similar but actually have slightly different undertones & I found another 9 with a difference in the amount of pigment which makes them show up just a tiny bit different on paper! I love this set so much tho I’m still gonna watch every review posted on them 😋🦋🎨💘🍭

Wow 🤩 thank you for this! I had been trying to match another colorist color family chart and I couldn’t get the the names to match up 😂 I searched all over the internet, even spent a buck on Etsy when I realized my newer 50 macaron set matched the color names of the 72 set! Thank you so much. Now the other videos on TH-cam about the brutfuner 50 will make sense to me.

The Kalour pastel set is apparently the same as the Brutfuner macarons.
@agircekim definitely the same colors but with different names. There might be a very slight difference in formula but not enough to really make a difference imo.

Thanks for this video! I have both sets and was wondering is there were colours in the 50 there weren't in the 72. I'm too overwhelmed at the moment to investigate myself. So I pot my 50 set away as backups and put the 72 in the cups I had the 50 in. 😊
There's a few that are slightly different but I chalk that up to being production variations they might have made since they first came out. The newer 50 sets have the same changes.
Hi, I was looking over your swatches again and in the new colours you have smoke blue, but also in the old colours with the name unchanged. The new does seem to be the same as the old colour when I swatched them.
@Willemijn Kamerling there's actually 2 different colors called Smoke blue. I forgot to mention that in the video. There's a few with the same names. There's the old Smoke Blue that stayed the same and a new Smoke Blue it's more of a lighter blue #B3021. The easiest way to tell all the new colors is by the numbers. They all start with B30. If you pull all the ones from B3001-B3022 those would be all the 22 new colors.

I just bought 50 set and looked for help with colour order but i seem to have odd colour names like Pink Complexion and Vibrant orange and Bel air blue. Does anyone else have strange colour names. I have 2 sets from different places but both are the same.
They changed the color names since they first came out
I love these and I really wanted to buy a back-up set this month, but every time I follow the link that is supposed to go to the 72 Macaron Brutfuners, it takes me to the set of 50 colors instead. The company isn't offering the 72 set at all! I followed your link twice and The Frugal Crafter's as well! Do you know when they plan to bring out the larger set?
Oh sorry! They must have sold out from that Amazon seller. They were shipping from China anyway so you might as well just order from the Aliexpress link. I got them really fast and they were cheaper than Amazon.
