I'm so fed up of feeling that I have to justify my reasons for having an elective c section, every midwife I have seen asks me why...but why?! It's your decision and I actually find it quite traumatic to discuss it every single time. I think there needs to be more discussion about elective sections and how they're in no way an easy option. Thanks for sharing your story!

Im a man but I can imagine I'd be pissed if someone told me I couldn't make a decision about my body.

I really enjoyed listening to this Natasha and that was such a brave decision to come to despite professionals advising you against it. I had an 'elective c-section' although it wasn't really elective in the fact that I didn't choose it, my little madam was breech. I would have preferred (at the time) to have a natural birth but now I wouldn't - It was such a peaceful and calm birth, and I would 100% not change a second of it.
I then went on to have a proper elective c-section with my second little girl, despite professionals saying I could try for a VBAC. As long as they are out safely and you get that beautiful baby in your arms at the end, thats all that matters. x

I had bad tearing and have a prolapse uterus so have been told by one doctor my prolapse means I’d be better having elective section, yet when it comes to it I’m told they put you off having one and push for natural even if it’s not what you want.

brittni seider ok that makes me feel better because I do not want to give birth naturally. For me, a c-section is what I will be choosing and telling my doctors at my checkups.

Brit Jade how did you do it? Did you have a medical reason? I one day want to do my births through c section due to my sever anxiety and tokophobia. Not only that what comes through natural birth is nothing that I want to ever go through it makes me nauseous and gives me heart pains thinking about it. I literally dream of having c sections instead of natural birth and I know all the cons to c sections and throughly researched what happens to you when you get a c section and I still want it. Do you think that is a valid reason to tell a doctor?

Yes, you can but it depends on how lenient is your hospital.

Desicions that come from fear are never the best, whenever it’s possible, vaginal birth is the best but media, movies, some medical community members make women to think they are not capable to do it. Regarding what you say of having total control of the birth, vaginal birth is safest and involves less complications than c-section so you were misinformed. Sorry to say this but you’re posting a video that may lead other women to think that c-section is the safest way and it’s the opposite when mother and pregnancy have been healthy. You had a fear of birth that wasn’t based in facts

People should be afraid of dangerous things. Natural birth is dangerous and leads to long term health issues. C sections are dangerous as well, but the risks are more acceptable for many women.

Loads of women are not capable of vaginal birth. Before c section was a thing, millions of women died having babies. Just a cursory glance at history and the current stats for emergency c sections would tell you that.

Oh, shut up! You dont know how a woman might've felt throughout the entire pregnancy, whether she has strength or not to push the baby out and go through hours of labor.
