As a white male, it depends. You will find Indian girls with white males and some Bengali females but never Pakistani females in general. A lot of Pakistani girls I've seen run towards Muslim type roadman in my town. Their parents force them to their cousins.

I’m a Canadian but of Indian descent meaning I was born and raised in Canada but my parents came from India and I can’t imagine getting a crazy arranged marriage to a really hardcore Indian woman from India. I don’t know the first thing about what we would ever talk about. I don’t know how or what I would even talk about with her or how I would relate on any level. It’s amazing to me that a British man of Indian descent would rather marry a really hardcore Indian person from India instead of a woman of any ethnicity but who grew up in England, who relates to the same cultural stuff that he would.

Not every man is toxic but South Asian family structures are close knit and parents do have a say in the selection of life partners. Men who party around and have girlfriends abroad are sadly at times misleading these white girls. This video speaks mostly of the meek uneducated desi women but that’s a stereotype as well. Lots of Pakistani, Indian and Bangladeshi women raised in their home countries do get good education, marry with parents approval but the final decision rests with the girl (no they are not forced), work in corporate jobs, earn decent money and sometimes do become homemakers to focus on their growing children which I am sure happens every where in the world.
Love this video, so true. I'm somewhat South Asian myself, a couple of my close friends in the US were in a serious relationship with South Asian men. They all never end up in marriage as all of the men married someone from back home. My late aunt always told me, you know in the end these guys would not marry your friends right.

I met British Pakistani in September 2018, he knew from begining that I have Cancer complications , but he still want it to be with me. I was more less ok that time = cooking and cleaning for him after some time later my health became poor and poor till now.. I am on the wheelchair since 2021, and I need some one to take care off me.. He tould me last year that he will not take me to his family , because i look like an idiot with my disability on that wheelchair, and he is shame off me. He is not much often with me, because I cannot provide for him food , or even to myself as well, and about 7 weeks ago He came to see me, and he disappear , he abandoned me, I dont know even where he is, nothing, zero. 4 years of my time wasted, only because I am ill. Thats not fair, I am devastated.

Liberal Asian women are free to marry late in life and prioritise their careers. No problem. Traditional asian men are also free to marry abroad to a more traditional wife.
In these times, Indian or Pakistani girls who are educated and independent will never move to the UK/USA for the sake of just having the ‘western’ life. This was 20 years ago when NRI grooms were much sought after. Of course there are always exceptions. Good luck to them.

What are talking about? In India & Pakistan, women's parents are dying for a groom with a green card/ PR card/ western citizenship. A lot of Western South East Asian women are also very bitter, angry and opinionated. At the end of the day most guys want to come home to a sweet wife. Are all guys perfect? No. Yes some are bad, abusive and manipulative. Back home girls are usually raised with strict standards and also there are more options. Women in the west also choose to break up for a better man and if that's okay, I don't see a problem with guys ending relationships and settling with women from back home. From my circle, I have yet to see a single unhappy couple where the guy married from back home. The local couples, well it's a different story.
Bottom line is live and let others live their lives.

I follow the real teaching of Islam that was intended by Allah(swt) given to our beloved Prophet Mohammid(PBUH), not your crazy version that you follow with your backward interpretation that follow a western colonise version of Islam.
Some interesting view points you have, my take on it as a 41 year old British Pakistani male, it doesn't matter who you are or where you are from. Not many people are actually in relationships where they actually love each other, its more like a relationship of convenience where they have been pushed together by others and crucially, not each other.
If you genuinely love each other you can be from completely different backgrounds or countries and have a long and successful marriage. If there isn't love between each other then it's an empty shell of a relationship.
Another interesting take on it for you : British Pakistani men going back home for marriages thats because the UK women know they are mostly wrong uns and the only place they are getting married is back home 😂😂😂👍

I wanted to get married as a man in my 20s to South-Asian diaspora women in the west, but South-Asian families rejected me just because I was going through periods of temporary unemployment, didn't meet their income standards, or don't have that super-model looks. So there you go, I am forced to look outside my kind, to find a lady for marriage, can't blame me and most South-Asian men, when your South-Asian families are picky.
Tbh you don't sound mature enough for marraige. You expected a woman to take you on despite not having proper job security? How exactly did you expect to contribute to the household? Its got nothing to do with looks and everything to do with the fact that you're not in the financial position to take care of a family. Even though it should be 50/50 and she should also contribute. So now of course u think its acceptable to find some poor woman, who most likely doesn't work, to carry your burdens? You think going abroad to find a wife is gunna be any better? No family abroad will want their daughter with a man who can't take care of her. It's nothing to do with being picky and everything to do with your inability to financially provide for a family.

Agree with your general points but wanted to add a bit of detail to the discussion that you touched on a bit. There are important differences depending on the specific background that you’re coming from. A lot of the going back home practice for Pakistanis, especially coming from rural backgrounds, is about tit for tat chain migration. I can speak to this as a Canadian whose parents immigrated from Pakistan and came from a village in Northern Punjab. There is pressure on both genders to marry from their “biraderi” back home, especially to the child of a close relative such as their paternal/maternal husbands. Even if the parents themselves don’t necessarily agree with it, they will still feel a sense of entitlement from their brothers/sisters back home. Obviously, in our patriarchal, male favoured culture, boys typically have more leeway than girls but there is still pressure to go this way. The “motivations” to arrange a marry a girl/boy back isn’t just about appeasing personal desires that are rooted in sexism, but also about appeasing their parents, their uncles/aunts, their “biraderi”, etc. Overall this practice of arranged cousin marriage is a backward practice that has many negatives from increased risk of recessively inherited birth defects in offsprings to social ones such as keeping the community very insular, etc. but it is entrenched in the culture
@Tango Orange I see it potentially risky for social-family relations and in terms of the pressure that may be exerted, overtly and not-so overtly, on individuals to marry their cousin by their parents, uncles/aunts, etc. It can create issues within a family when children (especially with western passports) are viewed as “assets” to pay back “debt” or give back to a family that does not have a passport to leave Pakistan for supposedly greener pastures. Out right forced marriages may not be common, but coerced/pressured into marriages are not so infrequent to be waved off as not a concern. The biological risk may be mitigated but there’s a ton of other baggage that comes with it. As I stated in my earlier post, I believe it’s also a factor for keeping a community insular and not successfully integrated into the wider society. And how does one have an arranged marriage with a cousin that they have no history with? Most people know their cousins and necessarily have a history with them via their parents relationships to their parents.
@Tango Orange My community is among the least successful in Europe. I’m from Canada but my background is Potohari-Punjabi and I have many relatives that came to the UK during the wave of immigrants that came from Mirpur, etc. areas in the late 60s to 70s. All I know is that these communities have not shown an inordinate amount of success in any field with only a handful of exceptional cases. Based on statistics, we have higher rates of criminality, higher rates of birth defects, lower rates of academic success, etc. And then our communities back in Pakistan are not much better. So I conclude: our old ways of having a strong bias for cousin marriage is not working for our success in the world. We are not producing many geniuses, many superstar athletes, or superstars in any other positive field, etc. and are a marginalized community lagging behind others in a developed country. It is my opinion that for my particular community, the strong bias for cousin marriage is part of the problem, and not the solution or even a “neutral practice”. Part of the problem of being so insular is that other backward customs have a strong push to be sustained and perpetuated while also making it harder and more difficult to innovate and bring positive change. Piety has nothing to with marrying a relative. Cousin marriage is set as a limit in Islam. You can be pious and marry into other people/tribes and that does not mean european non-Muslims, but clearly other Muslims besides one’s cousin to consider for marriage. See Quran 49:13 and consider the benefits of knowing others: “O mankind, indeed We have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may KNOW one another”. A cousin marriage here and there may not be risk significant but when it is the norm, it becomes risk significant in many ways. I do not agree that it promotes piety. I think for my people it brings a lot more cons than pros at this particular time.

@Tango Orange I was talking about more than just sports and entertainment and also referring to success in other fields, arts, science, business, etc. we have few intellectual superstars. Pakistanis are one the worst minority groups in UK and practices like marrying your double cousin generation after generation do not help. Pakistanis from the UK are from overwhelmingly insular, inbred backgrounds who persist in being backward. I am not stating that this bias in favour of cousin marriage is the only contributing factor to the dismal performance of UK Pakistanis but it is a major one, especially when it’s combined with constantly refreshing with “freshies”. This is not exactly a gifted population that is breeding amazing biological specimens, intellectually or physically. This is a mediocre to well below average performing population that is effectively inbreeding because cousin marriages are compounding generation after generation. Many other South Asian and other immigrant communities are more successful without cousin marriage so clearly it is not a pre-requisite to producing mediocre pharmacists, doctors, engineers and small business owners. Cousin marriage doesn’t cause backwardness and mediocrity in a community like UK Pakistanis but it helps to sustain it.
@Tango Orange There’s a lot of haram business done by this community. Don’t sell me a bag of b.s. and expect me to believe it. Again, it’s not just about athletes or entertainers as superstars, but about any intellectual giants, or truly high performers and difference makers in ANY esteemed field. This is not considered a “gifted population” intellectually or physically, and it is a population that is dismally performing compared to others in terms of academic success, overall economic well being, higher incarceration and rates of criminality. In the US, there’s a term “model minority” and this is clearly not a term applicable to the majority of UK Pakistani communities, especially those originating from the areas in Pakistan that are more backward and more into arranging marriages between first cousins.

Why don't you do a video on girls/ladies who were sent 'back home' to get married? It will be interesting to learn more about it. I became aware that they are left by their husbands when the husband gets PR or when visa is extended. I would like to know how these married ladies are/were treated by their husbands, in-laws who live far away, etc. I live in Scotland (less South Asians lives here). I know many women who wants to send their son 'back home' for marriage (and/or already done so), but not their daughters. At the same time, the daughters are/will be expected to find South Asian husbands. I personally do not know any SA woman who got married 'back home' after being born and raised here (well, there was hardly anyone)...but a new generation is emerging and after 5-8 years, it will be interesting to see what happens. I have been told by one lady who lives here that she is aware of 2-3 Bangladeshi women who married 'back home' ended up divorcing their husbands after 1 year (but I do not know the insight).

As much as I agree with elements of this..... i.e. guys who go back home to get married which in the mainstay are muslim men promised to their cousins. The ladies from Pakistan and India are far from naive, innocent and sweet. They are very devious and versed, as to how to behave until they become permanent and the underlying element is then to bring additional family over, send money back and/or to get a child and then get divorced as they are likely to get the marital home and financial support.
