- The Toyota Corolla E80 is a range of small automobiles manufactured and marketed by Toyotafrom 1983 to 1987 as the fifth generation of cars under the Corolla and Toyota Sprinter nameplates, with production totaling approximately 3.3 million, and most models adopting a front-wheel drive layout
The AE85 and AE86 Corolla Levin and Sprinter Trueno (SR-5/GT-S in US) retained rear-wheel drivefrom the previous E70 generation, along with the three-door "liftback" (E72), three-door van (E70) and five-door wagon (E70) of the previous generation, which remained in production. The AE86 ultimately gained international prominence in the motorsport of drifting and wide popularity in Showroom Stock, Group A, and Group N, Rally and Club racing.
In a joint venture with General Motors, mildly restyled versions of the front-wheel drive AE82 sedan and liftback were locally manufactured and sold in the United States as the Chevrolet Nova.

Hi thanks for the review, me and my family travelled on this car for about 16 years, this car you are reviewing,my memories with IDJ - 6654 it was 99 reconditioned or quota, i sold to a boy who was in mansehra, was studying in comsats, i drove this car for about 10 years when i started driving, my father loved this car so much, it was totally in genuine condition, 1.5 SE SALOON 1500cc engine was installed, very pleased to see this car after 5 years, Dashboard, seats are still genuine, new engine and body kits are installed, i think this car is better in driving than new corolla, brakes, suspension, handling outclass, many memories with this car, i have pics when we are using IDJ-6654

MashaAllhah... I have AE80 since 1984. I wish I get the man who has done the job under the hood... It's very clean wiring and looks like a new car

Very nicely and with lot of effort it is re built and re conditioned ....Power windows are missing. ..
My opinion is that after spending so much money on these cars it is better to keep the car for ownself cause if try to sell it ,mostly people will not pay u the on built price. .. They ll just say that 86 corolla is not more than 3.5 or 4 lakhs and disscourage u ....So better enjoy it urself...
