It just goes to show you. The way the targets line up with the sensitive zones on the coils is very important. You need to hunt productive spots with high trash using multiple coil options, frequencies, discriminations settings and possibly multiple machines if you have that ability. In the old days you were limited. Now you have multiple machines in one unit. I just wish coil options were as good as they used to be.
It's a game of odds all right, and my odds weren't too good today. I got spanked, that's how this business goes. Two top-notch machines right there. The Legend is a banger of a machine for the money. I'm trying to talk my wife into it but she said has sights on the D2. My wallet says the Legend, her wife card says the D2. Help me Calabash. 😬
@@patodwyer275 Two Deus machines in the same house! I think she is just tracking me. 🤣 But then she will confiscate my good glass when I get home from digging. WIFE CARD!
I have both and i have to say the Legend is the best best bang for the buck..Always taking both on my trips but the Legend is always my number 2 choice (except for the water)'. Deus 2 is so light, can swing it for a whole day, not with the Legend and the Deus 2 still can find gold with a high discrimination set for coins. Not possible with the Legend (or any other detector i know).
One passing comment in this video got me thinking. You are running a low sensitivity as this is a separation test, not a depth test. But I started wondering if a higher sensitivity might reduce the machine's ability to separate... (I'm sure you all recall the "high beam headlights" comments over the years of multiple detectors). Especially on targets that are at different depths (i.e. iron a bit shallower than a non-ferrous target). I don't have the testing garden setup you have... but I may try to test that with the Manticore... wondering if you have run that scenario through your various machines testing CD?

The legend hit better.

WIFE CARD!
Just go for a D2. Pick the coil size you don't have. Then when she doesn't go you have 2 machines to chose from.
@@1CarsonChris lol your right. I've got all three coils for the D2 as it is. I'll end up with the 11 for her show she can keep up on the beach.
