Housebound means I probably will never see it in the flesh, but it is so good to see folk like Pete Waterman organise these wonderful projects. It is a wonderful way to bring new blood into the hobby and revive a few who stopped years ago. Thanks for updating us.
Pete Waterman is a national treasure! Outstanding contribution to music and our love of trains. God bless him.what an intelligent man. Happy New Year to you all . Much love Alex
Great vidro Dave thank you for keeping us up to date in the progress of Making Tracks 3.Pete Waterman should deffinetly be Sir Pete Waterman for all he has done. Will be deffinetly see it at Chestec Cathedral in 2023 it is getting like a pilgrim each year.Wissi by all the Pete and all the Railnuts and yourself and good 2023....and all fellow modelers a happy 2023.
Wow only just found this series. Loving all the behind the scenes content and the detail you’re all putting into the build. Just wish all these vids had been around for my late father he would have loved all this. Will be heading for Chester in July for sure
Great update Dave and wow, thought 1 & 2 were mammoth challenges, but this one goes to a complete new level. Couple of questions……. The supporting walls Pete shows at the end…. Have they printed these themselves are what have they used, and last question, the concrete pain they have used for the concrete bricks…..? Many thanks in advance and look forward to the next one. Rob
Looking forward to viewing the layout `up and running` in July. Are you to create a service area along side the layout ? Or do you need me to carry (as I aways do) `me` swiss army knife again ? Take care Happy New Year to you all.
It still puzzles me why PECO doesn't change the spacing of the sleepers on their track work to replicate the true spacing on real track, especially now that the trend is for more detailed and realistic models.
I always thought the track was HO but sold as HO/OO there is a world of modelling outside the Britain. Additionally I have heard that there are places on the networks were the bed is solid concrete. I agree with Mr Waterman the spacing of the sleepers is a small detail that can be ignored in the OO scale. Can you imagine how much fun a 10yr old is going to have counting 48 telephone boxes, maybe a Tardis and a big Paddington Bear. I say help the old boys out. Everard Junction, Dean Park get together and make them a school group for the carpark. Who else can help with making the benches, me and the kids train spotting. And Happy New Year to you all.
The bi-directional operation thing is quite unusual particularly at Stafford where platforms four and five are normally south and northbound respectively - but five is sometimes used bi-directionally - as per the link when the Deltic came through - th-cam.com/video/0REbWkMqGQQ/w-d-xo.html
Many thanks to all the staff for their hard work and dedication.
Very impressive layout !! Tons of attention to detail's. Can't wait till July to see it in operation!!
Pete Waterman should be Sir Pete Waterman. Totally deserves the recognition for everything he has done for his country.
Absolutely agree

Another master piece in the making roll on July
I stood on MK station whilst on a training course at Bletchley and saw the electrics whizz through - I look forward to seeing this compete!
One thing that stands out is the one I have with Peco track >Is the lack of concrete sleepers on the point work I have tryed for years to get this !!!
Real impressed how the layout is looking, Well done to Pete and the lads how it's turning out. Will there be more video over the next few months.
