My husband is in EMS and a FF, so we have a scanner so I can listen if he's working. You have no idea how many people just call in on other people for no reason otherthan to cause trouble, just because. I live in a big town, not a lot of people, in the boonies, a right to farm community. And people still call the PD and FD to complain and narc on neighbors. Sigh. Stay strong... Sounds like they have the town codes and violations down by heart to be able to call if something is 1 inch off the driveway. 🙄🙄🙄 maybe time to plant some bamboo along the fenceline, that's a year round visual block. Jusy make sure to mow along the bamboo line so it doesn't take over, it spreads. But think about plants or a higher fence line.

If I had a neighbour with boats and things on their property, Who cares it's on their property and not taking up curb space on the street. I wouldn't take a second look or even think of snitching, Unfortunately there's one or more on every neighbourhood everywhere

Not sure if a solid gate could be instaled so no one can see in your driveway and yard. They can't see anything, they can't call the city. It's just an idea.

I think in general you need to get Skylar to move her boat with a deadline. You are very kind to the people you help get back on their feet but that boat is enormous & not really your responsibility. Your drive is taken up with everyone’s cars & the truck with the chair lift.
Rich, I would have hired a chipper & used the wood. Wood chip for your paths.
Why can’t you use the wood to make furniture? What’s it got to do with the city what you do with wood in your own property.
Top tip…When you burn 🔥 the wood 🪵 make sure the smoke blows in the direction of your a hole neighbours house 😂

There are perfectly legal ways to be a pain in the ass to your neighbors. If you keep taking it, they'll keep doing it. Cost them some money. Report some of their infractions. Nobody's perfect. I'm sure you can find ways to get them fined if you look.
Perhaps you should complain about seeing your neighbors ... demonstrate how foolish and ridiculous they are behaving.
I tell you, your neighbors don't play well. You and Josh are the best, I have listened to a lot of aquarium podcasts. Now you're the only one I watch. Great job keep it up, love to you and your family.

I would say one piece of advice, don’t use gasoline to start your fires. It takes a long time to breakdown in the environment and is the main pollutant in our waterways. You’ve got that creek running through your yard. I don’t know how knowledgeable your neighbors are, but they’ve even h*ll so far. I’d hate for them to have “more fuel for their fire”. They sell bio-safe heart wood fire starters, burns hotter and longer than gasoline. Best of luck with the rest of the cleanup.
Imagine having no life at all that you would call the city on your neighbors who run an animal rescue. Makes me mad, and I live in Wisconsin! 😅😅😅

Friend I grew up with in the neighborhood was running a fish business out of the garage. Even though all the neighbors were friends, someone kept on the city until he had to close down. Some people have strange ways of making themselves feel better.

It's not even as if anyone can think it's more pleasant to see a boat standing on a driveway vs next to the same driveway but on the grass. Oh, my eyes, my eyes, a boat on grass, the horror.

Strongsville sounds like a terrible place to live. With their stupid rules and neighbors whose noses are either in the air or in other peoples business, I think I’d move and take my taxes elsewhere. But I understand with the rescue, moving is probably out of the question.
I'm so Happy that I moved to the middle of nowhere in western Pennsylvania. I can do whatever I want.

If you want to burn the rest of the tree quickly, stretch a drop cord down to burn pile and get good coals going then plug up box fan will burn green wood fast.

I have a question what happened to the Tracy rocks that were supposed to be in the bottom of the koi pond ?
They decided not to put them in the pond because they'll get covered in algae. They plan on propping the stones up at the far end of the pond with lights shining on them. Kinda like the Hollywood sign.

FYI your extended driveway is covered with weeds. Burn the part where the gravel is. Then heavily salt the area of gravel. That will kill the weeds for about 10 years. PS make sure you prove the gravel has been in place for a while. So neighbors can’t claim that it’s new.
