Cupid's first hot dog stand was at "the five corners" intersection of Lankershim Blvd, Tujunga Avenue and Burbank Blvd. My family lived close by and we used to go to Cupid's for lunch on some week-ends. I've eaten at most of the locations of Cupid's. Their Cupid's Original (mustard onions, chile) is the only hot dog I'll eat. I've tried Pinks in Hollywood. it's a close second but the lines are unbearable, and while you're in that neighborhood why not just go to El Coyote and have a fantastic Mexican meal?
I miss the Van Nuys location next to the courthouse. I have eaten there, the Wenekta location. the CSUN location and there was one next to Taft High if I remember. I used to get 6 with mustard, chillie, onions. Now I can only afford one lol.
