Horse's don't need to be ridden with whips spurs or even bits. They need to have a good bond with the person riding them. Lots of people never use any of these on their horse's and the horse's are extremely responsive and rideable. Some rules need to change to stop the use of these things altogether. If they're not used they can't be abused.
I don't like to see the bits used on the guard horses at Buckingham Palace. They are clearly uncomfortable and stressed. No wonder they fidget so much. Is it necessary, or tradition followed?
Charlotte needs to be permanently banned. I was honestly shocked to hear she abused the horse. She only pulled out of the Olympics to make it look like she chose to not to the Olympics since she was about to get kicked out. Her apology is bs.
And what about the rest ?? CD is not the only one .There are plenty more out there that go under the Radar . That is why most trainers say no phones and no recording allowed in lessons .

Horse abuse has been accepted for far too long. Can you imagine whipping and treating dogs this way? She has no business owning, training or having anything to do with horses or training young riders in her abusive ways.
The footage is on You tube . But CD is not the only one who is complicit in Abusing horses . The FEI , the governing body of horse sports does not stick to their own rules in a lot of cases . Yes CD got a 6 month ban from competing until further investigations are done . So when this video came to light Charlotte Dujardin ,had no choice but to pull out of the Olympics . BUT the Q remains why right now ,why not much earlier then this , right before the Olympics ???? What i have read , ( TRUE OR NOT ) the person who filmed the video ,also was an ABUSER of horses ,with a very bad reputation !!!!!! . And every time this incident is Viewed on You Tube she the person makes money off it as she has the rights to the video . !!!! . So how can this be justified .?????????😡🤬
The person who took this video. said to the lawyer that there where more times that Charlotte has done it, but there is only this one recorded. That's what I thought if I saw this. It's her training method and that was not the only one that she did it.
Even though this is a horrible find, I find it interesting that after 4 years, this video is just now being revealed. It's pretty convenient timing. I would think all of us, "if we are being honest," have had a moment where we out of frustration made a stupid decision and reacted completely wrong, just that our moments were not recorded. This will be a hard lesson for her...😢. The wonderful thing about animals is that they move on...❤.
All the so-called animal lovers here who think they know better, you don't know the first thing about riding horses. The rider has to teach a horse to obey and therefor are some things to help him/her, horses need to learn to respect them and in some cases they have to learn that.
