I want you to know that I really enjoyed this video. I’m a self-taught metalsmith silversmith in the more I get involved with my jewelry designing I have become fascinated with the stones that I buy and I’ve actually used my Dremel rotary tool and I had bought some Sonora turquoise nuggets at a Gem show And they ended up sitting in a drawer for 10 months so I decided hey I’m gonna try to turn these into a organic turquoise beads, And they’re not tiny and they’re not gigantic and I really do not know the millimeter size at the moment but they were perfect for making some men’s leather bracelets with them because I drilled out about a 3 mm hole through the actual bead that I ended up making and I called them they wheel shape turquoise beads and I used my leather and I would tie a really cool type of knot in between each bed that I used and then I’d have a really nice about a 5 mm genuine round leather that everything was attached to and they turned out fabulous the men’s bracelet said I only made a few because. I do not mass reproduce my design and I would love to learn how to cut stones but I don’t have that kind of money to invest in all the equipment. But learning the different points when you’re shaping a fauceting gem shapes are so cool…
Thank you very much for watching and your kind words. Working with Gemstones and Jewelry is wonderful. If you have Photos and a Social Media Account, please send me some Pictures. I am curious about your work now. Links to my Social Media in every Video Description, down below. Yeah the Equipment is really expensive and i saved my Money multiple Years, to fullfill this Dream. It is worth every Cent i`ve saved and every Minute i`ve waited. I really enjoy Faceting Gemstones, sometimes it feels like Meditation. Only you and the Stone. Super cool feeling if a Stone is finished and shows you his life and fire for the first time.
Thank you, yeah I really love the design, it's super fascinating. I will definitely cut more illusion cubes and test the influence of different types of inclusions.
Oh, wow!! I love the way the needle gets reflected in the background facets! It's wonderful to be able to see such inclusions from multiple directions at once. My brain insists that this sort of gem should never be set into anything. But if you had to set it into something, is there a way that you would choose to set it in order to preserve all of the beautiful effects you cut into it?
Thank you, yeah I love the Design and all the effects. I will definitely cut more illusion cubes and test the influence of different types of inclusions🙂 I think it is possible for a good Goldsmith to set such a stone in jewelry. Different types of bezels are sure to influence the effects, both positive and negative. You just have to try out... Unfortunately, I am not a Goldsmith and do not have the opportunity to do so.
