    Great video! I am currently training Sanshou in Dalian, China right now and you guys are doing the exact same techniques that I am being taught now! Beautiful combinations, perfect execution of the different moves. All of the take downs and sweeps are performed flawlessly. What country is this in though? I don't recognize the language...Brazil? Croatia?

      Hello there. First of all, the language is Romanian. The combinations and the moves are pretty much the same, as our SeeFoo, Silviu Obeanu was a stundent of Wuhan Zhengdong Wushu Center, attending Sanshou classes. Do you have any pics from your gym? Tanks..

      Ahh nice, Wuhan. I have never been there. I am actually an English teacher who works in China and trains Sanda for exercise and fun. I do have pictures of my current gym in Dalian, but it is not an elite level Sanda gym. My instructor is actually a Tae Kwon Do 3rd degree black belt who teaches Sanda and Tae Kwon Do. However, he did win a few local competitions in China and trained in Beijing under some good coaches so he knows the fundamentals of Sanda well. Props though to your sifu and your club. Your club is definitely legitimate and the instructors well-trained. I did not realize that many Europeans also trained Sanshou!

      Question, do you guys use traditional kung fu in Sanda or no?

    Q: What makes Xanda different from western kickboxing? Looks exactly like western KB. :)

    • @udangiua
      @udangiua  8 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello! The biggest difference is that in Xanda you have lots of grapplings and transitions from kick\punch to ground fighting techniques! Also the defense stance is more open (advantage for grappling) than in KB. This means you evade more than supporting opponent's hits like in KB. Have a nice day!

      Andi Udangiu Thanks for explaining. I looked more into Xanda after commenting. :)
      Just thought being a "Shaolin MONK"...marketing...we'd see the usual traditional kung fu used. Not Xanda. Then again any real "monk" wouldn't be competing in combat sports. Monks are about peace/passivity. :)

      Anderson C the shaolin monks competes from childhood. Look into what the temple really is not just the image you get from 80’s Kung fu movies. Ive lived in china training with guys from the temple.
