This is not a typical Tom Cardy song, this is THE Tom Cardy song. I have listened to it on loop for the last few days and it has quickly become my new favourite one of his songs (which is no small feat.) Part of that, and a large part at that, is the animated music video. Not only can Shoocharu capture the chaos on a non-euclidean, interdimensional, pan-temporal rave. Plus the design for the DJ (who I've taken to calling Finn, short for Infinity, the Multi-Dimensional Master of the Arts or MDMA for short) is nothing short of inspired. I almost enjoy TC's songs more when you wheeze-laugh over them. Just makes my day!
Second comment at the end since I finished the video. Yeah your style is something I do that frustrates my wife. I appreciate pausing so we have time to laugh and discuss but she can't stand the stopping of the show. Anyway I can't stop listening to this song, it showed me you and you showed me a whole new world of comedy music so thank you.
As soon as I watched it I knew you'd react to it, Im glad
8:32 Caught me off guard so badly I had to pause my game simply to process it.
“Make them cheeks clap” -Insane Ian 2024
Is no one gonna appreciate the fact that weird al yankovic knows him?
I'll have to double check if he has already, but if not he should react to "I Met Weird Al" by Kevin Temmer with that in mind
It feels like a song which makes you expect the unexpected by laying it all out in a structured way.
I haven't watched to the end so you might cover this, but at the beginning the 'hill' singing "Gravity" has the moustache that the fandom draws for Arin; the executioner is Ninja Brian, and the guy with the flowing hair near the end I'm *guessing* might be Dan (but I very well might be wrong)
for crunchy music, you could listen to the video with headphones/earphones and then at editing add the sound separately for us to hear
@@aine9072 the crunchy music comes from the screen recording, not from my camera. Even if I used headphones, it would still be crunchy, unfortunately.
fun fact!
if u dont know this already at least XD
this music video is animated by the same person who does those DND animated shorts for legands of avantris
its pretty easy to notice due to what type of digital pen they use and the colours. but its still cool to think two of my favourite channels Interlock some way!
Something I noticed is that the moon in the version not afraid to hit dance floor is in a different phase
On my way to get my "space-time gravity champagne reality" tattoo. Who's coming with me?
I am getting a, Hitchhikers Guide to the Universe," vibe.
@@anythingyoucando1546 that's what I said! (I actually said it's "Douglas Adams-coded"...Douglas Adams wrote Hitchhiker's Guide)
@Insaneian I forgot who the author was, but I did remember the book! I look forward to more videos. Take care!
I feel like that "to the power of 42" was a subtle Douglas Adams nod
as a person with adhd, i can only witness so many details
i recommend "monster truck" by tom cardy, its great and i havent seen anyone else react to it
Sadly I already saw it before I started reacting to his stuff. Sorry!
The video was very on topic to the specific brand of cosmological sci fi I love. Stuff like SCP, Control, Twin peaks, and even stuff like Hazbin Hotel etc.
Loved it.
Wow the weird all shout out is dope af
@@DeltaChimp thanks! Him saying "Achievement Unlocked" is a reference to one of my songs!
This video is how long the song feels like it is.
No need to apologise. As long as you can hear the song fine, I don't mind if the audio gets crunchy after editing. I've listened to the song multiple times, I'm here for your reaction.
Okay talking about the past, can we say there is no past and there is only the present, since the past is over with. People might say something happened, but does having no past contradict it. There is only the present, right? The past is over.
Did someone else noticed that they say space time, gravity, champagne Reality as if they were rythms too like mambo and tango?
go go go insane ian
I think the neutron star line is meant like one would mention a famous movie superstar, but this one is a galaxy. It hit me last night and made the line 12× better
hope to see your reactions to the new music videos! unless you've already seen them, in which i'd still watch your analysis
@@shradibop I'm hoping I'll be able to get to them soon, but I'm still recovering from surgery. Fingers crossed I can get back to videos sooner than later.
@@Insaneian hey, take your time. your reactions are amid the few that are actually worth checking out on this site, i'm cool waiting!
@@shradibop thanks, i appreciate that, both the kind words as well as the patience. 😅
It may sound crunchy, but I’ve had the song on loop so much lately, I know the vibe
So the line about "this is the only time in existence that we ever know so far that the song has sounded anything like a cha cha" it's a joke on infinity again. Like the billion monkeys with typewriter thing or like the numbers of pi, they're playing an infinite irrational song that will eventually have sounded like every song in the multiverse, and they're celebrating that this is the only time in existence so far that the song has turned into a cha cha song.
It makes sense that TCCC feels like H.S, since they're on the same album
I commented in the original video, in your case.
the champagne in the past minute 9:37 is the same as in the future minute 17:02 while it is happening in the present simultaneously?
I watched this before alone like four times
Recommendation to react to Evil F@ing Wizard if you haven't already or are ok with a whole lot of swearing, its a supper silly song and the guy also made another song called wizard fist fight (you can see a theme) i love both equally.
I love your content and am glad that youre reacting to this song because this one has basically consumed my life since it came out lol
Hey Ian! Are you going to be reacting to some of the new songs Tom just released? Like the longer version of Lo-Fi, and such? Love your reactions!
@@jurajoravcok2369 longer version of Lo-Fi? I haven't seen that even come up. I plan on reacting to the new Draclia song this week tho.
@@Insaneian Yeah, it's in his new album "The Dancefloor At The End Of The Universe", with a few more songs I've not heard before, honestly not sure how I found it
@@jurajoravcok2369 the album comes out on the 18th...in Australia, which means it's out in most other places today.
I'll react to it if it gets a video, but I probably won't do just a song by itself.
ahhh i love tom cardy and his stupid music, it's soooooo good bro ;-;
