The lack of new games, removal of 1st party (Spider Man and Forbidden West) and considering most games you can buy around 5 - 15 USD, doesnt make any sense to me. PS+ Extra was absolutely amazing if you wanna try as many games as possible. But once you know what games you like, buy them on sale and its yours to keep for years to come.
@@diegofrgc agree to an extent. Depends on the game. If it's a game you play once and never revisit then buying it doesn't make sense but if it's something like slay the spire or dead cells. You can play that forever.

@@stephenmcgrathbass for me the first boss was the hardest. Not even. Those first teleporting guys before the first boss whooped my butt more than phrike. But after unlocking melee and other things, I found my flow. It's wild how hard this game was yet when cleaning up the trophies for platinum, I was breezing through even the final boss in less than 2 mins and not even getting hit once. I wonder if I'll suck at again if that muscle memory is gone in a year or two.

@@ScottMakesGames oh yeah. That's the worst. When a whole franchise leaves. I had to power through yakuxa 0 1 and 2 in same month. Each could take 100 hours so I had to skip most of the side content in the later titles.
They had some decent games but the rotations became a bit stale and we lost more good games than we got. They should’ve mixed it up. One indie, one sport and one Triple A game each month.

Honestly, I agree with the games leaving section being a good thing for some. I have a list of games I'm interested in on ps plus but I rarely find the motivation to start them. Put an expiry date on a game and suddenly I -have- to try to finish all of them within the month. The only bad thing is when they remove way too many long games at once (Dragon quest month was horrible)
@@bmokit13 a goal without a deadline is just a dream. Yakuza month was tough for me. Cuz they all can be 100 hr games but for some I skipped the majority of the side content to get through the main story in time.

Doing Sekiro and FF7 Rebirth the same time, it keeps me refresh between the fast pace combat and the grind of JRPG, also an indie is good for platinum hunting

I got to 28 games in my first year of PS+ extra and premium assuming i beat the games i plan to before it lapses. Cost me $88.50 so I got good value from it. PS+ definetly gets you playing more indies. They shine on sub services. I played 11 of them. The problem is having PS+ didn't curve my spending, I might have a not so serious problem, so I have a long backlog now that will take a while to complete so I won't be resubbing even though i loved the service.

Not necessarily this month. But the new one just got announced recently and it's supposed to be released in 2025. When Spiderman 2 came out, they removed the first one from extra when Horizon remake came out, they removed forbidden west.

Is it worth it? Yes. The reason I say this is that it comes out to $10 a month. I use it approximately 4 times a week, and $10 is roughly the price of one fast food value meal per month, and I get way more enjoyment out of this.

If you beat 2 games in a year you at the very least break even. I finished a few games. I just finished Red Dead Redemption before they removed it. I also finished infamous 2. I deleted dead space because it got boring in the first 5 minutes. I should probably give it a try again. I need a new game right now.
Well dead space we're going to be able to keep at least so no rush to best it. Stick to extra to get your moneys worth. Then downgrade later and you'll have so many games waiting for you.
It sucked after price increase because instead of increasing valuation they decrease the valuation after the price increase they starting re-adding games after price increase the games leaving were better then games coming in many months of 2024 and remeber that month where they removed 2 franchise at same time all darksiders game and all final fantasy games and horizon zero dawn at same time and in my country india and australia from what i hear got the discount of ps pkus in Black friday even to active member and even then i didnt renew it my sub end in feb and i dont care so u tell how much it sucked that i didnt even bought it at sale

But whether it's worth the new price it's up to you and how much time you have to play. How many games did you play all year? If you played and beat more than 2 games a month. It's still way way cheaper than buying or even renting. Unless the games you're playing are under $10.
@@OliveOcelotin my country India many seller online available for renting luckily I deal with most cheapest guy I got resident evil 4 remake with separate ways dlc and ff16 after the 15 and 13 of their release for only 200rs a month that's basically 2-3$ each and selling pre owned games actually gives good value in my country there are website companies dedicated to pre owned stuff u can buy new game pre owned disc and sell it after Playing for credit of that same website select credit not cash for most value and u basically played new aaa game for 20$
Anything is easy if you've got the time for it. Hard in this case means monotonous and laborious or as gamers would say...a bit of a grind. But not as bad as other games. I do appreciate how they didn't make us do all of the things. Upgrade every pouch but only once. Won 1st place in only 2 gauntlet. 4 rebel outposts. They could've chosen to make us go completionist but they spared us. So you're right it coulda been a lot worse, Esp for how big the world was.
