Fair vid, I don’t see an issue with the upcoming scorched premium offerings, and honestly don’t see it as pay to win since it’s all additional. I mean that big flat boi does offer environmental protection, but hey, so does the tent lol
I am interested in buying this game on the PS5 but im worried about one thing. I've seen people complaining about only getting 30 fps in general and i don't really think that it would get a great experience getting anything under 30 fps while trying to play the game. Considering the fact that there are mods to optimize the game and get more fps and commands to get more fps it'll be a good idea to buy and try the game out since it could be different for every single person depending on how you plan on optimizing the whole game yourself in settings or with the mods.
I have no issue with the performance of the game at this time, there are a lot of videos out there where people have maximized the FPS, even for consoles. If you want an in depth look at the framerate check one of those out. Here is one I recommend: th-cam.com/video/UnI3NaQohq4/w-d-xo.html
My only concern is tethering. If I can’t play a cooperative experience with friends, without a tether and without paying money, I’m not interested. In Evolved, I used my old PS4 to set up a server while I played on PS5. Don’t think I can do that with Ascended, considering it’s not available on PS4
@@thegamevault1970 It would be nice to see you cover this topic, as it’s a mohair sticking point for a lot of people, and a major reason why a lot of people won’t buy the game. Seeing what the current distance on PS5 is would be a great start. I’m hearing mixed messages of anywhere from 800-1000m
Sorry if i missed it but did u tlk about the dlc? They claim its all free for the ascended version if u bought it or not on on the old version evolved. If thats true im more willing to buy it on sale rn.
Sorry if I missed that point but yeah, all available official and unofficial maps from ASE are included in the base price of the game. That was a selling point for me as well.
I've got both games. Played the hell out the original and am loving the new content with Ascended. The game is big and sometimes framerates will suffer but it is far from unplayable.
I'm hesitant to buy ASA for PS5. I've seen quite a few complaints about the 30 fps. Overall, for now, I'll only be playing solo/unofficial. Is it worth buying the game or not?
Good question. I do not regret buying it and I've got close to 700 hours in so far. I've been burned by some really bad bugs, frustrated by broken promises from WC and my frame rate does drop into the abyss at my (monstrous) base. I don't find the 30 FPS to be a big issue. Solo has a bug that deletes your save game that has yet to be resolved so that could be really suck. I play on unofficial and love it, despite the flaws and bugs. If you can deal with the occasional WTF? moment or game breaking bug that you need to work around, get it. Otherwise you may want to wait a bit until things get tweaked a bit more.
Recently they added a new patch that boosts it to around 50 consistently. It looks amazing. The only downside is some pop in. The game runs smoothly and has so many must have quality of life improments
I am wondering if I should buy the game now since it has been a couple of months since release, I heard from many people including you about all these bugs and frame drops but is it worth buying it now? Perhaps bugs have been fixed and it is a better playing experience since it was before?
Hey Chris, many bugs have been squashed, many new features and a couple new dinos have been added, there are two maps now (three soon, hopefully) and the overall experience is a blast. Me and my team livestream it three times a week and I would playing a lot more if I wasn't making other types of content, so I'd say get it and enjoy.
@@Violeto777 Better than it was but it remains erratic depending on your settings and how much is going on around you. Things can be turned off to improve that number at the cost of how good the game looks.

If you're playing pvp on official you'll probably want the 60 fps. On pve it isn't too bad imo. I run around 40 or so unless I'm at my base. It's a frame killer
It is a major upgrade over ASE, but if you were expecting high end PC quality, yeah it would be disappointing. Consoles will always be at the mercy of their hardware limitations.
