I got the same shoes a few months ago and I love them, they look really nice for barefoot shoes, they're holding up really well durability-wise and I've used them mostly for running on fields and trails
Ooh I treat my son’s smelly shoes with daktarin powder (not sure what the brand would be in the us), it’s anti-bacterial anti-fungal/candida powder… it really helps!
THANK YOU so much for this suggestion! I just looked it up. The US equivalent would be Desenex (miconazole nitrate) I'm definitely going to pick some up and give it a try.
thanks for the review, thank goodness I thought I was the only one with huge huge blisters in my heels from the trail knit version, even sent them back for a smaller size cause I thought it was that causing the blisters but its just the design of the shoe, will pick up the normal version now :D
@@JessicaSojourning Did both of you experience blisters with the knit version while sock-less or while wearing socks? Still deciding which way to go between the two (regular vs knit), and I typically wear socks even with minimalist shoes... Thanks so much!
For me, it was with a thinner ankle length sock as well as sockless. The material on the knit version felt more rigid across the back of the heel, in my opinion. Hope this helps!
Nice, informative review and enjoyable videoing :~) So cost-wise, $45-50 every 6 mos. for performance that results in slips and falls vs $120 once per 2 years comes out to the Vivos actually saving you about $60. Those new ones sure are purty. With the old ones, even if you've decided not to have them repaired, send them to Revivo and they'll recycle them :~)
👏😁 I love it! Thank you for sharing this breakdown. The old pair is just sitting in the garage awaiting their fate at the moment. Lol. I think I'll send them over to Revivo! 🤔 I know for sure they won't be going in the trash.
I have. I bought a pair a year ago, but they were too stiff and hurt my feet. Didn't seem to matter how many miles I put on them 😥 I just couldn't make them work for me.
A good cobbler should be able to professionally disinfect them and they'll never stink again. They have special equipment that sprays hot steam and chemicals in the shoe. Also you should REALLY try the Xero Mesa Trail especially if you can get them during their big sale. Much more comfortable than Vivos and they're also more flexible and super durable.
I'll see if there's a cobbler near me that can disinfect them. Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, the Mesa trail did not work for me. I tried them shortly before VivoBarefoot. The fit was really awkward, so I returned them.
That's normal, stinky plastic does not stop stinking. You have to dry the stuff in fresh air as soon as possible. It's the same as climbing shoes. Once you let them stink once they stink forever...

Thank you for the review! Loved every bit of it ❤
Awesome review. Thanks for putting this together
Thanks! So glad you liked it 😁

Did the powder work?

Haha! You are not alone. For whatever reason, there's a huge difference in the way regular and trail knit fits 🤷♀️

@@JessicaSojourning Y'all have convinced me - I think I'm going for the Trail FG (non-knit version) - thanks again!
So glad it helped! I hope the trail fg version works for you 😁
I believe you can send them back to Vivobarefoot and get new soles on them and other repairs. I tried Xero shoes and they are more bulky. I love vivo.
That's so good to know!! I look into it. Thanks for the info 😁👍
Yes, they also encourage sending them to Revivo to be recycled rather than throwing them away.
Great review!

You prefer low cut shoes for hiking?😊 Have you ever tried vivos tracker boots?

Have you tried baking soda in the shoe and in a container let it sit in one

🤦♀️ Yep, lesson learned. I've been a lot better about immediately drying out my second pair of shoes since.
Nice review. I've wondered about those shoes. I've heard they literally stink too 😆
Haha! It's the one thing about them I wish I could fix 😅
Thank u
