Tokuma is a traditional local food in Ghana and it for the people in the nzema land(western region). It fufu but they don't use the fresh cassava to prepare this food but rather cassava dough. very unique and it really interesting to watch and also the taste is so yummy, mouth watering

You got urself a new subscriber because of this food. One of my favorite enzema food since childhood. The woman said something in Nzema it means this food can go for days without going bad just like the kenkey’s and besides the sardines used for the soup is everything!!!!!❤️❤️

Interesting, social media is changing minds. We have a lot to learn about ourselves and our diverse cultures.
I’m so proud and blessed to be a Ghanaian.
We had an advanced way of making fufu all this while but, we have been pounding it with all our energy for years 😂.
Tokuma and Nugba sounds a bit Ewe 🤔, I need to visit this place on my return to Gh.
The Voltarians and the Northerners also have Yam fufu, it tastes so nice too.

This food is made with casava, so, it is not like Nigerian pounded yam that is made with good yam only. But, there are many tribes in Nigeria that eats and prepare their casava this way. It is called pupuru by the indigeneous Ikale people from Ondo state in Nigeria but others call it their tribe names.
