Also worth noting when you get an impact proc and your living bomb has a second or 2 on you should definitely spread it asap as they all blow up together for a massive short term burst of damage
well you should always have your living bomb spread to 3 targets anyway to maximise the dot, itll spread anyway when you are spreading your built of ignites
@TheChunkinator69 sometimes I get really unlucky spamming flamestrike and no impact proc. I'm just saying make the most of the explosion even when the dot is low
Combustion doesn't take the remaining duration left of each dot. It takes each dot, extrapolates it to how much damage it would have done in combustion's duration (~10sec), and adds it to the combustion. Works the same with ignite, so regardless of how many ticks of ignites you have left, it's better combusting when you have a big ignite tick. So regardless of if your LB has 2sec left or its max duration, it'll contribute to the combustion the same. When you have LB up, and a juicy ignite, and follow it with a hot streak pyro and pray for a crit, you're better off casting a scorch (hoping it crits) while the pyro is in mid air and then combust when the pyro lands. Casting a living bomb in that situation is a dps loss.
That was great to watch. I feel fire mage is the best fun too. Staged rotation building video would help me because in one global video it is far too much to absorb from one video but up to you. I will subscribe.
i forgot to mention flame orb in the video due to it being bugged currently on the beta, however you just want to precast it before pulls and use it off cd really, its just a nice bit of extra damage

its a mixture of an image file and a weakaura from Naowhs weakauras, it should be in cataclysm by default though, idk if they will implement it in launch or not though
@TheChunkinator69 I tested this with only living bomb on the target, combust does the same damage at regardless of living bomb duration, whether its fresh or 1 second from falling off, all it cares about is damage per tick not total tick damage of the dot.
Obviously, if you have all procs up, then by all means refresh as then the living bomb will be ticking for more damage, therefore contributing more to combust
@@Ferguson25 yeah that sounds like a bug, ive just logged on aswell and tested combustion and its definitely not working right, even with my living bomb ticking for 2k damage the combust only ticks for 800, that is very wrong, they probably broke the spell again after they tried fixing it cause they thought it was doing too much damage
@TheChunkinator69 combust doesn't care about duration. Only one it cares about is ignite as the damage it has pooled changes as it ticks down. This has been confirmed big the big mage brains

Never use frostfire bolt, only time you would ever use frostfire bolt is in PvP if you get spell locked out of fire spells

Hey bud great video! I can confirm that combust does not care about how long is left on your DoTs it treats them as if they were full duration
Combustion combines your current dots damage on the target, if any of your dots ticked before casting combustion you lose that damage
