Hi. My name is Patty. I'm from the Boulder
Colorado area. I started online looking
for a dentist in Mexico about a year and
a half ago in 2015. I've had periodontal
disease for 20-some years. And I went for
a check up and a consultation down in
Denver over a year ago,
and found out, within five years,
it would cost me about $40,000. I knew
that I was not going to be able to do
that. And I needed to fix my health,
and it started with my dental work.
So, I came down to Mexico in September
of 2015. I had set up several dental
consultations in Playa del Carmen
and also here at Ocean Dental.
I was not happy with the ones
I had gone to in Playa del Carmen.
And Ocean Dental offered to come down
and pick me up and take me back.
I came in and had my 3D scans with Dr.
Irma and the staff. I was very impressed
with how they took care of everything.
And the prognosis was the same thing
as it was in Denver, everything that
I needed to have done. But it was
a fraction of the cost.
I was very comfortable when I came
here. And I saw the clinic and the
state-of-the-art equipment that they carry
here. And the staff was absolutely
wonderful and they kept me comfortable.
So, it took me a while.
I did not know exactly what my comfort
zone was going to be. But when I did come
to Ocean Dental, then I did feel totally
comfortable with making my decision
to come back here and have the
dental work that I needed to have done.
And it's called All-on-4 Four, which...
the top had to be totally extracted,
11 teeth extractions. I had to have a
temporary plate made for six months,
which is...also involves four bone grafts,
some for implants. And within six months,
those had grown. So I came back in July of
2016 to have my hybrid denture pulled
for them. I had one surgeon, Dr. Omar,
which took care of me the first time.
He was absolutely fabulous and
Dr. Deborah, who made my temporary.
Dr. Deborah also made my hybrid denture
this last time when I came back.
And she's done a wonderful job
making my teeth.
