Oh yeah. After seeing kazuya in tekken 7 for years now, I’ve always felt he needed a buff or a rework. Pretty sure he wasn’t that high on the tier list either. He looks freakin incredible in this trailer. I might have to pick him up when I get the chance. The moves in tekken 8 are looking so fluid. Jin has always been my favorite because I just love his move set. It’s not too flashy, but it is stylish. When playing jin correctly, it’s a treat to watch. Devilster is a great example of having the most optimized Jin. Too bad he hasn’t been in a tournament yet. I know he’d show the world what a true Jin master is capable of. Might even see a jin finally win an evo if he gets the chance.
His character design is 11/10 as well. I mean...it's like the developers went out of their way to make him look more evil..and older. From t3 to t7 the older characters didn't look aged enough imo. Now in Tekken 8 the aging looks either too realistic or exaggerated. Idk if T8 is getting a time gap, but Paul for example looks too aged
Well this was fucking amazing. So much more impactful then Nina’s to me. Especially the wall part got me gased up with the violence of the hits plus the wall behind disintegrating. Might pick Kaz just for how he looks, but cant wait to see my boy Bryan.
The only thing I'm praying everyday is that; since we are having Nina with guns, Kaz with lazer beams and we already had Noctis with greatswords and spears, please change Yoshimitsu fighting style and make him use his sword despite for seppuku and flash, he deserves so much more 🙏
Well they said it's a new Era of tekken they havent been hyping up the fight between jin and kazuya as the end like in tekken 7, so it's not looking that way, but I agree.

One small attention to detail that I noticed and I love is that his voice has reverberated in his devil form. In every game before now gameplay-wise his voices sounded the same but now they actually got it right
They amped up Kazuya's brutality like I always wanted. I hope T8s new features come together well and that this proves to be a good installment. Our guy looks godly in this trailer can't wait to get my hands on this.
When I saw the T8 Kazuya trailer this morning, this was the reaction video I wanted to see. Kazuya has been my favourite fighting game character since Tekken 4 and I was overwhelmed watching this… I can only imagine how unbelievably happy mainmanswe was and probably still is! You deserve it mate!
As a Jin main, looks like a good couple of his moves and general ideas have been added to Kazuya's arsenal. SO hyped to see what Jin ends up looking like if Kazuya is getting this much of an overhaul. Honestly kazuya needed this, I'm not sure Jin will get the same treatment cause as a character Jin developed very well.. Many Kazuyas key tools have been the same ever since ttt1 not the case with Jin.. But i do hope Jin gets interesting stuff

The movement is starting to remind me of the Arika made fighters and I absolutely love those games. I know they worked on the netcode for this but I wonder if they had any other input. Interesting.
I have mad faith in Tekken, so I won’t worry yet. Although I do feel like this game is becoming some Street fighter - V-trigger type fighting game focused more on special commands rather than strings.

T8 thus far gives every indication of doubling down on all that I despise the most about T7, and what led me to refocus my attention towards older Tekkens, namely T7's tilt towards range 0 to 1 brawling and pitbull aggression. This is evident from the heat mechanic, coupled with movement remaining as is in T7 (this can be seen from the Nina trailer, during which she takes what is clearly a feeble T7 sidestep, and from another video explaining the new mechanics of the game in depth, where at one point Paul takes a piddly T7 backdash into duck into WS+2). So I'm far from enthused. As far as I'm concerned, Murray, Harada et al can take their 'aggression' and shove it up their arses!

Something thats really grasped me about Tekken 8 is the announcer! People say they dislike them, but I know they find themselves mimicking the voice because is already so damn *iconic!* This announcer actually feels like someone you'd hear in a real tournament
This announcer is just for the trailers, in the showcase they clearly have a traditional tekken announcer while for the trailers, they have a well known combat sport announcer Lenne Hardt who has announced for pride fc and other organizations. Having her in the trailers for tekken is peak martial arts and fighting game media mixed into one.

This is groundbreaking stuff tbh. A character in a legacy fg series who has barely budged in terms of overall play style and look/feel, and they had the balls to give him a proper revamp after more than two decades. Just amazing to see really, hats off to Tekken team. Pretty sure Jin's trailer is next, if they combine Tekken 3 Jin/7 Devil and 4-7 Kazama style into one it's going to be crazy lmaoo. I'm not ready
@@workemail8723 I don't know about that. The game is still a work in progress and from what we've seen, Jin seems pretty much finished and polished. Jin and Kazuya look the most complete from the footage we got so far, so it would make sense to show a finished character. Major new character reveals will be saved for events with a lot of eyes on them, like tournaments or playstation state of plays/e3/game awards. Now I could be wrong about ALL of this if Jin has a new plot related form or something, that will get revealed in a story trailer first. We'll see!
Unsure if he will have it outside of Heat Mode but the fact that they show CD1 now screwing/spinning/combo extending earlier in the trailer and then showed 3,1 transitioning to Hell Lancer (during Heat Mode) probably implies you will want to 3,1 into CD1 and get the extender from there.
It’s exactly like what Kazuya said in the trailer “I control everything” even his devil gene now. Laser out of devil form, way more dangerous looking devil mode (if devil is heat mode then he can devil form on round start)

It’s interesting how they have seemingly given Kazuya a standing Twin Pistons, something he has not had since Tekken 2. I am curious to see how exactly how these standing Twin Pistons will function in game (assuming that is what we saw).
Kazuya could use standing twin pistons during ttt2, he could transform into devil at any point during fights and use it.. it was 15 frames -13 on block launcher
Kazuya has absurd amount of defense, arguably too much even. But almost no offense whatsoever. Now, give everyone including him more offense and less defense... Yeah, looks scary.

I've never been into reaction videos, however, knowing TMM love of the character makes this feel more genuine. Also, is anyone else reminded of the T5 opening music where Heihachi and Kazuya are fighting off the Jack-5 units?
This is groundbreaking stuff tbh. A character in a legacy fg series who has barely budged in terms of overall play style and look/feel, and they had the balls to give him a proper revamp after more than two decades. Just amazing to see really, hats off to Tekken team. Pretty sure Jin's trailer is next, if they combine Tekken 3 Jin/7 Devil and 4-7 Kazama style into one it's going to be crazy lmaoo. I'm not ready
Jin isn't next. He's the star. He will be much later... Maybe even last.
@@workemail8723 I don't know about that. The game is still a work in progress and from what we've seen, Jin seems pretty much finished and polished. Jin and Kazuya look the most complete from the footage we got so far, so it would make sense to show a finished character. Major new character reveals will be saved for events with a lot of eyes on them, like tournaments or playstation state of plays/e3/game awards. Now I could be wrong about ALL of this if Jin has a new plot related form or something, that will get revealed in a story trailer first. We'll see!

Unsure if he will have it outside of Heat Mode but the fact that they show CD1 now screwing/spinning/combo extending earlier in the trailer and then showed 3,1 transitioning to Hell Lancer (during Heat Mode) probably implies you will want to 3,1 into CD1 and get the extender from there.

It’s exactly like what Kazuya said in the trailer “I control everything” even his devil gene now. Laser out of devil form, way more dangerous looking devil mode (if devil is heat mode then he can devil form on round start)

I am 100% with you on this one, I'm a Jin main but still deeply ADORE Kazuya and I know exactly how you feel about the crying. Same thing happened to me a few times throughout a few games 😅Juri in SF6 (Been my main since SF4) Seeing Jin in the first real T8 trailer made me feel that way as well. Man we've been playing these characters for ages and this is like honestly so far the peak and best they have ever been period. This brings me immense joy and I cannot wait for both T8 & SF6, both game finna be so DANG AMAZING!!! CANNOT WAIT!!! 😄😁🤩😍💜

It’s interesting how they have seemingly given Kazuya a standing Twin Pistons, something he has not had since Tekken 2. I am curious to see how exactly how these standing Twin Pistons will function in game (assuming that is what we saw).
Kazuya could use standing twin pistons during ttt2, he could transform into devil at any point during fights and use it.. it was 15 frames -13 on block launcher
