People who haven't played FF16 won't understand, but all of the abilities he uses in his moveset are extremely accurate to how he fights in his game. They put a lot of love into this!
100%. I was a little disappointed at first bc I'm not familiar with FF16. But, after seeing his gameplay trailer, and looking more into it, I understand why they went for this character and I'm excited to play him. They put a lot of work into this character and I'm sure it will pay off significantly well for them.
I agree totally unexpected and the coolest looking guest character in the franchise. They've had this planned for 2 years and are truly making the best of it.
They spent around 18 months working on this character on and off, devs of ff16 even made them play the game before they even allowed them to do a collab
Licensing for VII is extremely strict, since it's Square's flagship essentially. They would never let Harada touch it. Any other FF fist user isn't as well known, or as well liked. (Or liked much in general when it comes to Snow from XIII, but that's a can of worms best left unopened.)
They have to have a lot of trust in you as well to make the character fit and presentable. Especially with Tifa, She's gotten really popular over the years so they'd want to protect her as much as possible. I was mixed about it at first but I'm happy with who they picked and understand the selection.

@@joobcoob1129 I haven’t played FF16 and I can easily tell they put a lot of heart into this character and I can’t wait to play him
Tifa would be so boring compared to this, let’s be real.

Idk, Clive might be too overpowered.
@@NuRm69 Possibly. He may be broken at first but as time goes on changes will happen to him to make him balanced
Clive is totally unexpected but in retrospect the coolest guest character ever. And clearly executed with a ton of love. Cant wait for monday
