Ahh, my monitor withdrawal is feeling much better!! lol. Never apologize for a serenade that's a great part of the channel, no one else would go from Puddle Of Mudd to the Green Acres theme :D
Also random question for you Mike, have you worked on any Ceronix monitors in your years of experience? They're found in IGT video poker machines. I own 2, I have a 13" which is INCREDIBLE, I swear the tube is brand new, it was (and still is MINT from the day I got it), I also have one with a 17" touchscreen monitor in it, good monitor, good colors but lousy tube, lots of screen burn on it. I heard at least on some of these Ceronix monitors they have Kortek chassis on them? I haven't had to pull either *knock wood* since they've been running great but I bet at some point the 17" will need some love, the 13" like I said is damn near like the 13" K7000 on your test bench, it's just MINT. Sorry for the rambling, just wondering if you ever dealt with any as I know you've seen and worked on a lot over the years and maybe know about the Kortek chassis or any other they use. Thanks again for the great vids, I have learned so much! I WISH I knew this about 20 years back, 128 CRT (64 13" ones and 64 27"ones) tubes and CONSTANT issues and a "repairman" that couldn't fix a monitor with nothing wrong with it lol. I woulda fixed em up SO easily, I wish I knew how simple they really are. Anyway thanks again Mike! Look forward as always to the next video/repair! :)
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair Oh wow, maybe they are exclusive to those machines then. I too never heard of them until I got my first. They seem good and reliable, in a casino setting they are for sure on 24/7, screen burn ofc is an issue but they seem to be very durable and long lasting otherwise, interesting, thanks Mike! :)
Also I should add Ceronix is still in business selling all LCD's now ofc. Dunno if they're selling parts for the old CRTs anymore, doubtful but I guess especially since you never even heard of Ceronix they must be pretty much only casino equipment, thanks again Mike! Look forward to the next repair vid as always! :)
Hey Mike! I just picked up a 29" Makvision CRT and the chassis just keeps clicking over and over going into HV shutdown. Could this possibly be the flyback? I haven't pulled it out of the machine yet to try and troubleshoot, but I've never worked on a Wei Ya chassis before so thought I ask.
Hi Mike. I have the same chassis and yoke with an LG flat tube and my geometry is really bad. I see your grid looks almost perfect. My grid opens up and down to the sides on the sides and I already tried all the pots on the chassis, even the trapezoid one and did not help much. The pincushion pot on the controller board kind of helps but the image is not straight on the grid. Any suggestions? The chassis and tube are pretty much in near mint condition but really bad geometry on my grid. The bottom right side is really like compressed and no way to improve it. I already capped it but no change.
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair It looks to be. I basically bought it like this from someone in Japan that had it for years stored. Everything looks clean and near mint. When I unpacked it, the tube even had its plastic film on it. I removed the joke and put it back in believing it was badly placed but after adjusting, same curving on the sides, more on the right bottom. Also, from center out, the grid looks attracted or pulled to the corners, as if making smiley vertical lines. I adjusted the trapezoid pot on the chassis but did not help much. Do you feel this weiya C3129DSLG was meant more for like a curved tube and not this flat tube? I mean the front, this one is completely flat.
@@ner38073 Yeah. Wondering if this chassis was originally on a different tube. If it's been capped and the yoke is good, the image should be good. Based on what you've described, it's got to be either the chassis isn't original, or it needs a curved tube. I can't say for sure unfortunately.
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair Thanks Mike. I will keep searching but I have a feeling this chassis was meant for a curve tube. I have learned a lot watching your videos. Thanks for everything!
Hey Mike I have the same chassis and monitor thats just clicking.. d21 is shorted in circut. Thr hot is shorted in circut as well. I'm lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Smeggin awesome video sir !
I did learn something, not to throw out those old parts.😊
Amazing work mike! I'm gunna try replacing it on mine also. Hopefully it will work or give the chassis some life.
Thanks man. Wait till you see the repair on the next one.
@@MikesArcadeMonitorRepair I'm super excited about it! Can't wait!

I have a makvision 3129 that might need a new chassis, is there a universal one that you would recommend?

Greetings. Likely the HOT is shorted.
I'm having the same issue with my own Makvision c3129d. Do you have a source for a replacement socket? Or any ideas what TVs may have one?

Is it the original tube/yoke?
